The problem is what has been going on the entire game, hunts take at least 50% less time than previous games which is clearly a design choice to make it less grindy but it's a lot less satisfying. It also does make it less difficult I suppose because you had to keep the fight up for twice the time instead of "oh, it's dead already". I don't even bother capturing, just hit it a bit more and it's dead.
