Guys, why does nikg suck at understanding what the author is trying to convey in the story? Sometimes I feel like we have lots of those type of people like in highschool who say "you are overreading the book, the author has nothing deeper to say" or "the author's meaning is whatever you believe it is" and failed english literature. We have so many mister literals who can not grasp nuance unless it's expositioned to them and can only see character depth at a surface level. These situations are usually brought out by adults being pragmatic about the situation like the school nto having enough students. The adults usually try to test to the students in some way. The students get sad and the teacher (you) doesn't give up on them. You usually monologue how students belong in school and there's nothing more important for a teacher to do than to culture a healthy student. It usually ends with the students beliving in the teacher and ranting at the antagonistic adults on how they should not be pragmatic or greedy and how you shouldn't push your adult ideals on students. The halos the students where pretty much makes them immortal and they can tank bullets like they are paintballs. They go really far to be anti ntr to the point where the only male character in the story is you, and all the "male" npc are animals, monsters or robots. It's very very cringe, I think you'd have to be a high schooler/college student who really drinks the cool aid on how important being a student is.
