So for the first time in forever, maybe even from before Royalty, I finally dropped Rim War. I dropped it because for some reason out of nowhere, it started having bugs with it trying to delete caravans that doesn't exist, causing the temperature of the area my base is in to get stuck because it stopped updating (it got real obvious when it was 36 celcius in Winter without a heat wave, where it would normally be like -15 celcius, and stayed 36 celcius during a 'cold snap' that lasted months). Prior to that I used to use Preemptive Strike.I had actually been thinking about dropping Rim War since whatever change that came in that 'optimised' Rim War also reduced the amount of caravans traveling around the world drastically even at the highest activity settings. But I still hate how enemies just appear out of nowhere without warning, though. So I picked up World Domination 2, which looked like the closest equivalent. I've only started using it for this run, but how is World Domination 2 right now for anons that use it? If you have the RJW submod installed, one of the things it does is make Goblin Pheromone Conditioning build up much faster every time a RJW interaction finished. I don't think Goblin Pheromone Conditioning ever decays naturally, and at 24/24, it becomes Goblin Pheromone Adaptation, where they no longer feel adverse to using Goblin equipment, eating Goblin food and think Goblins/Hobgoblins are stinky. Rather, I think they feel happy instead like a Goblin? It still does not make them immune to Goblin Pheromone Buildup though, unless you have them stay away from Goblins/Hobgoblins for a day or more depending on how much is built up.tldr; Goblin Pheromone Buildup and other Goblin Pheromone related stuff is part of the base mod.

That Rank trait can cause problems for you if you're not careful, including temporary joiners - if someone SS ranked showed up, even if they're faster than sanic and can easily be a one-man army even with Combat Extended, a Baseliner Human alone would be worth like 33k Wealth (I once had a 'trooper helper' that was SS ranked worth that much but moved at like 70m/s). If you ran race mods that have high base Wealth like the Milira, just getting them to B or A rank can also get them to be worth like 30k per person already as well. I'm not sure if you can reduce the impact on a character's Worth from those Rank traits in the options, either.

In the ensuing battle, though Yumie's supernatural healing abilities allowed her to withstand what otherwise surely would have been fatal blows the same could not be said for Ranna (Formerly Rodos because the AI kept misgendering her) who had been providing her with ranged support. On the brink of death, the Nociosphere teleported next to her and exploded in a sudden and devastating blaze killing her instantaneously - the combination of the flames and the Empire's death acidifier meant there was not even a corpse left behind to mourn.

The next DLC *MUST* make visitors more interesting. I'm tired of the visitors, traders, and caravans as they are. Tynan, it's time to beef that shit up my man. There's so much there to work with.Dwarf Fortress got an update for bars and inns. It introduced value into having a nice place for guests. Building upon that would add a lot of depth, characters, scenarios. Make relatives in caravans more likely to want to stay or otherwise come visit their relative more often. Let the relative member "take the day off" to max out their recreation when cousin Sam Haxton comes to visit. The QoL targets are right there too: Nobody wants their caravans wading in the swamp just outside my colony walls! Let me make a depot for the trader and his entourage and a barn for the creatures. Let me secure them. Let me entertain them, stocking the depot bar with beer and joints in hopes I can get a better deal from the trader or other interesting events. Idk.There's so much to work with.
