It will start a timer, and you have that long to clear the higher-difficulty dungeon. It's like a speedrun challenge.Based on how fast you clear, you'll get more really nice loot, and upgrade your keystone. This will make it call out a different dungeon to go to, and up the challenge and reward. Keystones are referred to by their location and rank. So you might have a +5 Deadmines or a +9 Stratholme perhaps. There's a merchant in your capital city you can use to break down stuff you don't need into coins to boost your useful items further.As for raids, due to the number of players this is something you do with a guild. You assemble 25 or so level 60 motherfuckers and go into the raid instance. Each one has multiple challenging bosses. Like 5 to 10 of them, which require coordination and contribution from everyone to complete. This is a source of its own form of loot, in the form of Tier Sets, with potentially powerful bonuses if you get enough pieces. Raids themselves have a difficulty scaler, going from Normal, to Heroic, to Mythic, and on this server Ascended. Normal any group with 2 brain cells can clear, Heroic is a solid challenge, Mythic is very tough and needs a strong team, and Ascended I think only one guild has killed Ragnaros on.
