Story question for everyone here.What is your general opinion on how Kivotos works as a city/society and do you have a personal issue with the fact Sensei and anyone else doesn't try and just put an end to the way Kivotos works entirely? It's pretty obvious from everything in the game that despite all the goofyness and fun of it, the fact that Kivotos is this almost favella like territory rulled over by a bunch of school girls separated in quite totalitarian academies that act as esentially war lords over each region, is not that good of a thing. So much pain and suffering has resulted from it and the game hasn't really shied away from showing how this is partly the reason why some students do awful things. The way Kivotos is has allowed so many students to just lash out using power and violence instead of learning about their emotions or issues and as the story volumes keep going on, this just keeps happening and no one really is addressing it in the story, and its kind of starting to really piss me off considering how much of the story is us supposedly playing teacher and therapist for all these girls yet we are seemingly completely disinterested in doing anything to fix the root cause that is creating all of this chaos in the first place. Students keep fighting one another and although they don't usually die, they still get hurt so much and trauma and mental strain gets created from it, some students go on rampages based on their ego or trauma and end up creating even more issues, and we even have a student that did die and I'd argue its still primarily a fault of how Kivotos works, she should have not been there in the first place.Do you personally feel like the game's story should cover this and confront the fact that Kivotos and all these academies are geniunenly a horrible place for all this young girls that isn't doing them any good as a society, or would you rather they never should address this?

So I don't think there is much point in us talking about it seriously from a story perspective. Though to be honest I personally never enjoyed the way BA tries to mix serious things with the goofy things. It works for some stuff, it doesn't work here, I cannot take at all none of the serious emotional shit in any of the volumes when by the end of the day anyone that does a bad thing get a headpat and a hot chocolate. Then again 80% of the roster in this game has a smile on their face when shooting another person so this was never gonna be a consistent thing regardless.

>>577867891To this day my favourite story thing in all of BA is just Problem Solver 68 and their interactions with Abydos and Gehenna because low stakes gta low crime chaos is the best enviroment for this characters and its the only place where I think the story is really just fun. And I honestly think it lets characterwork shine much better than the emotional drama volumes. I got a better grasp of the exact personality of Kayoko and her potential just from her low stake interactions with both FTF and Hina then I ever did from Saori's entire screen time.
