The problem is that trying to mash those armor pieces together in OS is practically impossible without completely breaking them apart, stripping everything down, and reweighting the meshes from scratch. Whoever originally put these meshes together basically had them held together with duct tape. Such a shame too because I had something dope.

Use a perk mod like Ordinator which buffs their HP with Conjuration perks, let's you heal them while sacrificing your own HP Regen and gives them unique abilities on a 30 second cool down (Fire Atronach drops a nuke, Frost lowers magic res, Lightning does an AoE nuke, etc.)Conjuration is still probably the most boring way to play the game, the most fun I had with it was as a combat archer to rip aggro off you and even then there's Animal Companion mods which let's you train your own Pokémon which is way more engaging.

Never really bothered with the quests/new lands mods until recently. I just finished Beyond Reach and enjoyed it overall. Definitely shows its age at times and it felt like it dropped the ball a good bit after dealing with Mortifayne, but the overall writing and world space kept me sucked in. Level list was a mistake. I should have paused leveling up at at level 20 when the combat was fun. Enemies could kill me in 3 hits and I could kill them in 4 hits. Now I'm on level 40 and the enemies have so much health that it takes forever to kill them, but they can't kill me because I have ebony flesh. So all fights are just 2 minutes of hach n slash until one of us falls from boredom. I'm waiting for the level list to change again to fix my combat. Why is it like this?
