Rogue Trader is the only CRPG where I killed companions. Idira, Jae and Yrliet. Though now that I think about it my very first run of DAO I ended up killing Zevran. I didn't use him in my party and his approval was low, so he betrayed me and I killed him. This was before the gift DLC.

The crusade is under your management and it is a severe character flaw to knowingly allow someone to abuse and even murder the soldiers under your command. You are a bad leader and a bad person for abiding her. Some will argue that her practical benefit to the crusade outweighs that of the people she kills, but if that is your line of reasoning you are not even denying that your morality is compromised, you're justifying. And it's not even true, since you can fill out a mythic enhanced party number without her, meaning you're not at a deficit without her. And everything gets even worse ethically if you're fucking her.I also tend to kill Wendu. When you catch her eating people because a demon told her to, I'd be willing to bet a pretty fair number of people kill her there too. Yes, this character does have a potential arc where she gets her shit together, so using meta knowledge sometimes I don't kill her, but that first event is a bit much.Lots of people kill Yrliet, and it makes sense. Her lack of trust in you and her abnormal incompetency directly leads to the Gommoragh wild ride. Someone like that shouldn't be on the team, and if that means because they're dead or just fired is up to you.Same with Idira. When she calls to the warp to invite a deamon onto the ship that kills thousands, and we discover this is not the first time, it's not unreasonable to kill her. Now, our meta knowledge once again comes in and we know that she has a good arc and good resolution so I tend not to kill her, but that initial event probably does get her killed in many people's games.Lots of people kill Kaylio Djannis and Scorpio. They're both terrible people who don't change if you don't kill them.I also tend to kill or imprison Skadge, Xalek, Quinn, and Broonmark. Swtor is actually pretty good about giving you the option to kill companions.
