A thought just occured to me, how is Deltarune supposed to answer any of its questions when none of the main cast is actually asking them? The incident, who Dess was, Friend, the Knight's identity, the Knight's true motive, no one on the team is actually trying to figure any of this out. The only thing they are trying to do is find the shelter codes, and only one of them wants to find them to actually open the shelter. So of course no fucking progress on any of the game's mysteries have been made, the mystery isnt an actual focus of the game's plot because WE are the only ones asking about them.
I wish people stopped taking the COMPLETE WITHOUT ISSUE playstation achievement at face value. The point of the Deltarune achievements is that it's a self imposed challenge to avoid getting any of them. The chapter completion achievements are supposed to feel like a thing that's impossible to avoid, but there HAS to be a way to avoid getting them to complete the challenge. You're essentially doing an item glitch using the egg to avoid setting off the chapter completion flags. Gaster notices that you completed a chapter without setting off the intended achievement flag which is inherently an "issue" as you're supposed to get them by default. He's impressed if you fail set off any achievement flags and never comments about the eggs.So it isn't substantial proof that Gaster is opposed to the Forgotten Man, it doesn't really say anything about how he feels about the Forgotten Man. He might not even be aware that The Man exists.Like I dunno, if he didn't want you collecting the eggs at all cost he would've said something like "STOP TAKING THE EGGS" at any point before/after a chapter. That's not to say Gaster can't be an antagonist I just don't believe the Gaster vs Forgotten Man beef the fandom has mass-hallucinated.

I have recently learned that Kris being the overall narrator of the game isn't actually agreed upon. While I see the points against it (the best being that whole distinction between Kris and You, especially in the Spamton NEO Weird Route climax, becomes a whole lot messier if we assume they're the ones narrating), I feel like there are a shitton of instances in the game where Kris, with the knowledge that THEY are the filter we see things and get info from, both abuse (purposefully fucking up ACTing on the Knight) and acknowledge (dissuading us from trying to read Azzy's letters by droning on about how tired they are) that fact. I feel like a solid 70% of the Narration in the game no longer functions if we divorce it from the idea that Kris themselves the narrator.
