When Ironman mode first came out, the cost to have membership on one account was only $7.95. Now they are trying to add more game modes that will require you to pay almost twice as much per account as when Ironman first launched

I keep seeing people say that the cost of membership shouldn’t matter or that Ironman should be retroactively removed since we are only allowed 1 account to have membership. While I assume some of these people are trolls, I don’t think most people remember that membership was relatively affordable and that having two accounts was still reasonably priced.

This isn’t about the game mode as we already have multiple variations of Ironman. But this is simply about corporate greed and just how fucking absurd it is that Jagex expects us to pay more for something we should have access to by default. I understand that they may only want 1 account per membership, okay, fine. But you seriously can’t even offer a discounted package due to “botting” concerns? As if bot makers even give a shit about that, they purchase bonds for their accounts.

At the end of the day, I (and hopefully many others) will keep voting with our wallets by refusing to vote yes on new game modes until there is a clear financial reason to support it. I already think it’s absurd to charge $15 per account, but I am not about to shell out $45 a month if I want to have access to my iron, my main, and a third game mode out of the countless that have been added since or have been proposed.
