For what it's worth, I think you're also overlooking a lot of the options you have to make Kris be kind to Ralsei. I'm pretty sure Chapter 4's "it's okay not to smile" option increases the healing value of Ralsei's tea in the code. Kris likes Ralsei, they just aren't as overt about it as they are with their affection for Susie.
