Archie Shadow is the worst thing Archie ever did to any of the characters. Nothing Archie Sonic did bothers me, it's funny when he's off brand. Archie Shadow is just on-brand enough that we keep having to hear that he's "the good Shadow". I can't read his arcs without imagining Ian thinking he's saving this character. At least with Archie Sonic there are very clear lines of separation from the games. With Shadow it's an attempt to "correct" the games. It's bad faith.
