No need to even play any "hard mode", while none of the rewards are locked behind timers that are relevant. There technically is one, but it's only there to prevent complete stalling.For example there is one mode where you have 10 minutes, and if you can do stuff in 3 you get an extra sparkly something for your profile for a week that then disappears again. But beating it in 10 minutes is enough to get all the rewards. And beating the stage on easy mode is enough for all gacha pulls (like lvl 60 instead of 90 or whatever)Some stages also have shorter timers and extra goals, but the concept is the same. That said, there's a lot of autism you can do to make speedruns and do fast clears, in which case you DO need to engage with mechanics and some chars WILL be better at this than others. For example one stage exists with a 1 minute extra goal, and some configs don't even get most of their damage out by that point so they need to be adjusted or a different approach needs to be chosen. There's also a rarely occurring mode that has difficulty as high as you want and may also need very specific characters, that can deal with the restrictions you put on yourself.

There is a region skip option in the game now if you want to anon but I wouldnt cut the games playtime in half. Once you get to wuling try not to start on the factory until you have caught up since gasses streamline most of the recipes and you will have to rebuild your factory. Your goal as a new player should be to get a main team to lvl 60 and get gold gear on them (unlocked in wuling) and you should be set.

The average character sig has like 150-200% dmg on it meanwhile even current day genshin weapons after 5 years of powercreep are in the equivalent of the 60-80% range.It really throws me off when i'm doing calcs for my own teams looking at their buffs/debuffs in various categories and you're easily hitting >100% in a bunch of them.I wonder what made them go with such large numbers so quickly, because you could divide everything by 10 and nerf enemy HP accordingly and it wouldn't make any difference except the math gets easier.
