>>579286125nta, for the $99 price tag, it is very feature-dense and is using all of the top end fancy shit people are hyping up like TMR sticks.It blows the fuck out of anything over $100.Most who have gotten their hands on it say it's built like a tank, latency is extremely low, can be easily opened up to repair/mod, buttons/sticks/triggers/pads all feel great with light smooth actuation, and feels good in most hand sizes despite the square blocky form factor.Far as I'm concerned, the only controllers I'll ever need from now on are a Tegenaria Lite as the super cheap but reliable 'just works' option, and a Steam Controller for doing more robust shit and binding all types of things on the pads and back buttons.

>>579268879I had one of the very early 8bitdo controllers, and it was a piece of shit where the buttons started feeling "smushy" rather than things you pressed and that came back into place, and then the controller just gradually failed over about a year. This was at the very beginning though and I've heard enough good things that I'd be willing to try again, but my DS4 has lasted me 10 years and it's still going.

I don't know why, I guess it's because I had just gotten a real job that actually paid me money, but I was buying pretty much all of the special edition PS4s that existed, like I even bought one of the gold Taco Bell PS4s for some reason. And at the time I was playing Destiny a lot, and the way to run in that game (and I think most shooters) is you press the analog stick in (L3), and then after a while the L3 presses would just stop registering and you'd get "stuck" walking and blah blah blah so I'd just switch to another controller. So I understand what you mean about DS4s dying, but in these cases it was always due to L3 abuse, I believe. Anyway, when I finally became a PC master race, I bought a white DS4 because that was like the one color I hadn't already had, and I was PC master race now, so I played shooters with keyboard and mouse, so I was no longer abusing the fuck out of my L3 button. So I don't know if it's just the fact that this one controller is the only one where I haven't abused the fuck out of the L3 button, or maybe I won the veritable lottery and got one of the well built DS4s, but this one is still going and I have no issues with it even ~10 years later (I think it's more like 8 or 9).
