You can have a great stat distribution with shitty traits but as long as the quality is at cap (currently 400) it's worth keeping and fixing. If the quality is under 300 it's dismantle fodder, only exception would be if it's just your best option for the stat distribution you're chasing without spending tokens to reroll. You can also just keep one around to throw a bunch of catalysts at it for when the right one drops, then you'll at least skip the busy work of leveling it up again.
