What are our thoughts on the patches so far now?Overall I'd say it's been 1.0 > 1.1 > 1.3 > 1.2 so far, although 1.3 and 1.2 is kind of a toss up and hard to compare on an overall basis with how different 1.2 was from the rest. A lot of people complained about the pacing in Renee's 1.0 quest but I found it to be thematically appealling with Renee's slow and steady erosion and the build up of Zankou until the end (Also I think her boss theme was pretty good - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwa5FC1iNyc ).Meanwhile the pacing in 1.3 felt stretched with Daffodil being the only one who really explored the main setting of the anomaly, leaving the rest to scramble for time. Linko's segment, while not completely rushed felt very compressed in comparison, probably also because there was zero side exploration like there was in Daff's part. I know it was supposed to be mainly Daff's story, though for that it felt like there wasn't enough of a focus on her character and her connection to Scarlet Letter and Inanna. The lolis were a bit of a mystery and I think there was some mind-fuckery with Zankou involved. They were supposed to be some of the abducted victims - even though they share some very clear parallels to Daff and Zankou, so I have to wonder how much of it was reality and how much was illusion. The girl doesn't look similar to young Daff at all outside of having black hair and wearing a vaguely similar dress. But there were also some very loose connections like with the moths and Daff recognising (?) Irael's expression at the end.Zero being relegated to a short after battle cutscene before transitioning to the end through like 3 short jumps also had some poor pacing to me, resulting in Poinsette's development being left on the wayside.
