I have successfully completed my FOMO and put research points into the Ho-ri, so unless it bugs out I am now safe. I paypigged on the Type 74G years ago and it came in absolutely clutch to get this done with quickly. Anecdotally a lot of my games at that BR our team won if we didn't crumble right away, so the influx of Japan grinders seems to mostly be limited to BRs lower than the Ho-ri.
