In Solasta it’s extremely important to fight in the light, and characters who can see in the dark are a massive advantage. In BG3 even the Underdark is as bright as day in the steppes, and light has zero significance.5. More adequate combat arenas, more interesting enemies, greater variety, and a larger set of abilities on enemies - all of these are pluses for Solasta. The combat system is far more thoughtfully designed, and you can tell the people actually know how to plan encounters.6. Better balance. No homebrew nonsense like a Swords Bard shooting 4 arrows per round, no broken items and effects like Reverberation or the bow that inflicts Fear. The game is tuned so that at any point it’s just right.But the small budget is the ONLY downside of Solasta and the reason it looks so cheap.
