As I learned from Pat, active tag is the future. So get this. My game is like Marvel vs Capcom, but with active tag AND universal parries. Here's the prototype.(Shows Hulk Hogan in a wig doing an armored hit through some soi looking beta male character's fireball)Yeah, this game is designed to be very aggressive. You'll see here how Brawhilda tore straight through Meek Mike's projectile. I didn't want zoning to be too strong, so every character has some kind of anti-projectile move. As you know, I'm a master rank Marisa in SF6 (shows his rank and modern mark next to his profile), so I had to put that kind of armored character in this game.And yeah, you saw that. I play Modern. It's the best path forward. As such, this game features no motion inputs and 1 button supers.I'll tell you guys more when I get to work on the next character, Joel Joeberg, the epic character that summons his friend to fight by his side. The problem is not long combos. The problem is that nowadays everyone can and should be expected to be able to do them. If a 30 seconds combo is extremely hard to do and is the reward for expending all your resources from an optimal starter, that's hype. If little Timmy is expected to lab a 30 seconds combo or press the autocombo button to get one, it's just boring busywork. Content creators are doing long combos every match and telling you that shit's hype when they labbed it day 1.

My observation on Avatar is that pressure and blockstrings are practically nonexistent, and any support that "improves your pressure" in a conceptual sense is nearly useless. I'm talking things like Appa Aang, it's pointless. 90% of your damage comes from scrambles, converting stray hits, and nearly unavoidable oki setups.The best support for a character is whatever gives them the biggest and fastest neutral button with which to secure hits. To continue using Aang as an example, Gyatso is obviously the best support because Momo shaving 3 frames off his IAD overhead isn't fucking important, while Gyatso totally transforms the character's buttons.Korra is like (maybe) the one exception in the whole game because her flow movement is such total ass without Naga.
