The Ruina gameplay experience is dubious at the best of times, where some parts of it are pretty decent but its ramshackle as shit throughout. If you had Ruina gameplay in anything else setting wise everyone would be calling it a 3/10 game that could have done way more, it has the pacing of a crippled tortoise and the mechanical depth of just making you run resistant to element guys and for most of it just use guns or ranged or blunt pages from the puppets or generally just wedge for a while even. It takes like 10 hours until the game involves a single discard mechanic, even further for really playing with Light, then you have filler upon filler in general, nonsensical difficulty spikes like Tipereth and generally speaking there's little incentive to keep going because well, the game doesn't have any real mechanical depth to it man.Like I'm sorry, this game isn't actually that good. Just objectively.
