As for my actual personality nowadays, it's night and day with my old one. And when the obsessive, bad thoughts return I end up having a meltdown over the fear it causes me to experience emotions like that. I think over the years it also made intimacy completely impossible for me due to the fact I will almost always feel nothing. I think the worst part was finding out that the people I admired the work of before crashing out was doing very similar things to me, even when I was still a kid and they were an adult that I did to them, just silently, behind the scenes. Now as an adult, I look back with a bit of a sick stomach. I've dodged countless bullets over the years, now that I think about it.
