>>579287729Basically this, I think creating a habit by starting small is the best way to help yourself overcome the inertia that makes you reluctant to do things. It does not magically give you infinite motivation but at the very least it makes you less likely to sabotage yourself, which is already a huge deal when it comes to people like us. In the past I always tried to work out but my attempts just died out after a short time due to the expectation I placed on myself and every trip to the gym was a mental war inside my head. But recently I just set myself a goal of 15 minutes of running a day after work everyday, no more no less, and I've managed to keep the streak going for 2 months now. I dunno how it'll be after increasing the workload but this is the most consistent I've been so far.
