Reason? Poe2 campaign is extremely streamlined by now, maybe maps are a bit bigger but who cares when layouts are simple and you can sprint end to end.
Most of poe1 layouts are absolute unfiltered dogshit that is painful to navigate even with superior mobility.
That extends to maps too. One good thing that came out of the infinite atlas is that incessant whining forced ggg to fix most of the bad maps (there are still jungle/swamp leftowers). Most of poe1 endgame maps are worse than mire, but no one cares because why bother - you can just run dunes for 3 weeks lmao

Poe 1 campaign takes around 30 hours for new players, too.
There's a lot of inherent knowledge on map layouts, tilesets, environmental clues, and general optimization that we have with poe 1 to cut that time down to around 4 hours.
Poe 2 also has those. The campaign is still longer than poe 1, but not by much when you git gud.

Hello exiles. This is my first league, I already have almost 500 hours. Usually in gaming I experience "the dip", when the enjoyment drops after 200 hours or so and I move on, but it's not happening with PoE2. I'm still having so much fun and despite having thousands of divines, every tink makes me happy. Guess I'm in it for the long term. What is your experience with the game? Do you play the season for a few weeks and then stop or play constantly?

Duelist / Swords is the most controller-coded gameplay I've seen in poe2 to date
coincidentally poe2 is a lot more fun to play on the couch with a controller
