I took a look at the dev nyotes and let me get this straight, their solution for everyone hating collabs is to do MORE collabs but make them even shorter and have even less relevance to the story or possibly not any story at all? Why the fuck would anyone want to pull a character who doesn't even have any story?I guess the positive side of this is less collabs that eat up an entire month. Even with this year only having two collabs people are understandably pissed because the plot is already moving at a glacial pace as it is, and these month-long collabs where nothing is allowed to happen make it worse. And it's very rare that anything relevant to the plot happens in a collab, they wrote themselves into a corner with the D-Waves shit because every single collab story a huge chunk of it gets wasted on having to meet the characters, explain to them what's going on and how they get back to their world, listen to them ramble on about "Interesting, here's how my world is different from yours" the same format over and over. The only good thing about collabs lasting so long is since I play multiple games besides Nikke it lets Nikke be a good side game for me and I can take it easy and not play as much because there's less story to read that month.
