Finishing up SC and Alchemist might be a way to gauge interest in the franchise. Bungie has no other options at this point and if it doesn't work out then its over. If it does work out then we'll probably see a resurgence for Destiny 2 like The Division 2 had. But if they did return they would need to come out swinging because if they just release some wet fart of a content release it might gain traction with the absolutely dedicated players but anyone who is lapsed might not give a shit. Logically the most realistic content delivery model would be a return to once a year annual expansion and probably 1-2 major update style things inbetween. But they really would have to come out swinging as I said probably with something like a new subclass and a big new destination with a good campaign. But I think the most likely outcome is they announce a new DLC and people all hype it up and shit and it turns out to be pretty mid. Then again people are coping so much they'll probably treat it as the second coming of christ.

I like RAD's. But I was more so saying the live service and expansive MMO like features with huge social aspects like D2 has is one of the things that was killing it. The Bungie today isn't big enough to maintain two live service products like that. You can still have large open hub/world areas, but vastly scaled down. Same with raids. I would take a AAA full first person story game with tons of missions over repeating the cycle of seasons, expansions, LFG cancer, etc
Just make it borderlands essentially if you wanna keep the loot and buildcrafting too

Like the other anon said most of the best Titan builds is melee slop. But there is a few that are good that aren't that. Best one I've been using recently is the Hallowfire Heart on solar with burning maul. At best I melee once to proc radiant then just use the Neomuna solar HC to keep up both restoration from sol invictus and radiant from that melee.

I would like to know how Cross and other D2tubers plan on getting people back into propping up the franchise again. Its still doing better than it was during Ash and Iron and especially Renegades, and its especially doing better than Marathon, but it looks like people mostly got back into it during MoT and then said their goodbyes. If these upcoming 3 weeks are apparently "very critical for the franchise" then its hard to see anything happening besides Bungie shutting down next year.

While I do think a lot of the available power creep now compared to its initial release has made it way more manageable, at the very least final boss is still a situation where if you're not playing particularly efficient it's going to be way more difficult than it should be. Hunter solo was still one of the hardest when Ghosts was brand new because they just didn't really have a ton to work with that was giga busted for final boss. Also the final boss was and still can be janky with hit detection stuff or it just spazzing out in the air and not counting any damage markers
