I think Regenesis' difficulty is around X1 and X2. Boss fights were pretty readable and Sigma's 3rd phase having enemies that drop pick ups made the fight pretty forgiving. However, I'm not going to deny that the stages aren't horrible without any of the armor upgrades. I did enjoy the high mobility of double jumping, upper cutting, and air dashing.
I like how the Hololive collab was erased for reasons.

I learned the game by abusing save states so much that on my last playthrough I barely used them because I just got good at the game instead of wasting my time. Lives only artificially inflate the game’s duration; ranking and reward systems are preferable because they encourage the player not to die.
