The recent discourse in Nikke regarding last Solo raid is a shitshow.The main thing that came from this is the fact that a blatant and prolific cheater was caught and proper punishment was given. It's extremely unfortunate that accounts said individual piloted were also impacted, but for the most part, those individuals who got piloted didn't know he was cheating. Piloting culture has been around in every single game I've played, whether that be for competitive reasons, or for casual reason like handling someone's dailies due to a tight work schedule or IRL conflicts. Top 50 is full of talented players, and though some are piloted, it's not like 100% of the people there are "Skill-less" like many assume. I've been piloted several times on Solo Raid due to irl constraints, and since my acc is Top 50 capable, my pilot pushed to put me up in the rankings.Lastly, the main issue at hand is being overlooked to witch hunt people. NIKKE, at it's base fundamentals, has a flawed combat system. For many of us in comp NIKKE, we share the same sentiment, we'd love if the game would implement some system equivalent to a rapid fire macro built in to characters kits. Even a toggle for rapid auto fire would erase any need for any of us to macro in the first place. When you're competing at the top end, every second matters, ever shot landed to generate burst, bursting as fast as you can. If SU implemented that simple fix, everyone would be on an equal playing field.Recent units with auto fire capabilities like NNeon, SWHA, and AnisS have shown that SU is taking a step in the right direction. I just hope eventually they'll launch an update to completely eradicate the use of rapid fire Macros.
