I feel like the bookkeeping for this game might be doing more harm than good... Like, for starters it excludes Bond and Originium on the basis that people might want to use it for other things, but let's be real here - absolutely nobody is using them for other purposes. At the game's start, it was worth asking if people might "really" use them for scarce crowns or use the ori for skins, but this many months in, we KNOW there's no other pressing for either.So it's a lowball from the start, but then people take the pull numbers from it and say the "real" numbers are half because of the expiring pulls, because they're not really looking at the numbers, they're just taking the already lowball numbers from secondhand sources and treating them as highball numbers.Meanwhile, anyone with a monthly card is pretty much looking at their full roster and saying life is good. The problem with the 8th sigil missing comes from the fact that to combo midair you have to skip the 5th shot of the initial skill cast (midair combo can't be done after the 5th shot). But it's better than wasting extra time casting combos from the ground or having to waste SP on unpowered skill casts to cap sigils

You can eat that up with Arcane now to create corrosion. It's SP heavy (200 SP to be precise). Then you can next time use Arcane to create a nature stack and apply another stack. This is a second arts burst, and 2 nature stacks can give you 2 stacks for Typh as well. Now you realize how this is exactly 4 points. Together with 4 arrows, you can trigger your combo afterwards, and prolong your flight effectively reducing your SP cost by 100. It's more complicated than this, because after battle start you get your first combo for free, and as such it works. But if you'd do NOTHING else, you'd sit at 0 arrows and 5 stacks after doing a double whammy. You also can't really ult yet. Here's where having high ult gain Gil is nice, because she can give you one extra stack (and also ult during this barrage). But even that is just 6 stacks. You'll have to experiment if it's worth it trying to do this again, or fall back to the normal rotation.
