Other characters were expanded while Mashiro wasn't because her niche is oblivious exhibitionist girl who really believes in justice. Its alright as a side character but there's not much you can do with it very often, she works best as a casual enemy. Blue Archive tends to follow rebellious characters so Mashiro is often the face of the police who tries to stop the rebels, when you're supposed to beat up the police. They don't want to use Tsurugi or Hasumi for something like that, they want to use a low ranking member when its jobbing time. Like when Ui beat up Mashiro in the recent Red Winter story. If the police are meant to win in a story they would use someone like Ichika instead. In gacha games more cartoonish personalities tend to rise to the top, but more mundane characters serve their own purpose in casual scenes. Although Mashiro's personality might have seen a bump if she was allowed to play a magical girl in the magical girl event.

Not enough attention was given to her to let us know more about her or give her fun dynamics. Shimiko had her show off her dynamic with Ui more, which was funny, and her getting way too into playing Era give us a bit more insight into what she's like. Also, the sexy outfit did a lot of the work.

All this talk about mash really makes me wish we got actual JTF focused stuff more often. Hasumi gets a lot of screentime for her big wings, Ichika has a lot of more recent content but mash and tsurugi really haven't had many chances to shine, since mash appears for two seconds once in a blue moon and tsurugi gets a tiny bit more and her good moments are great but 80% of her screentime is autistic screeching and her position of "trinity's secret weapon" got taken by Mika.It's just kind of funny compared to an organisation like C&C who became big because of arguably Asuna/Karin but by association Neru and Akane are also big characters because they aren't split up in events and all get ample time to shine.

I believe 85M is slightly above average crit luck but not unreasonable if you're willing to restart for it. In both the newer chapters, and in older chapters sensei has a stand offish policy with kids letting them make their own decisions, but I would agree it feels different these days sometimes. Rereading an older event seeing what the difference is. He never feels helpless, he feels like he's letting kids make mistakes on their own but it feels like he easily could step in at any time and solve it if they needed him to. He doesn't fix their problems for them but he still feels like he's in control and he can handle it. He guides them very subtly by telling them when to speak and when to think for themselves. He's letting Shizuko make all the choices in Summer event but it never feels like he's weak or just a cameraman, he feels like a parent watching over them letting them make a few mistakes. Even in Bunny Chasers he lets them keep fucking up their own mission while telling them he's not their dad, he lets them fuck it up, but at the same time he knows when to step in to take control of Nell so she doesn't blow upIts not about how much sensei is used, its about how he feels when he is used. Whether he feels like an adult.
