You know, I was pretty close to actually bothering with editing video proof that Rampage and Wrath yield literally identical damage output (meaning Rampage is better because it also works on single targets), but going through the effort of cutting out the name on the scoreboard in a video is too autistic for me to want to bother to learn.
Last time I posted video proof, this dumb nigger bent over backwards far enough to shove his head up his own ass, to try and claim I doctored with the footage or disingenuously selected malice or something. So I shan't bother.
You can test it yourselves btw.
>no talents
>mobility dump
>Creature Spawner mod for obvious reasons
>Controlled Chaos mod to select havoc 40 in the meat grinder
>2 light attacks to start the combo, followed by heavies until heat lockout
>Cranial Grounding + Rampage = 27,985
>Cranial Grounding + Wrath = 28,111
The damage difference is basically a rounding error caused by crits I can't influence.
>but you're LYING!!!!
Again, test it yourself. It takes like 5 minutes.
Anyone that actually cares to optimize will obviously test it themselves, so I'm probably preaching to the choir here. Just in case any newfag accidentally follows the retarded troll's advice.

In case you're actually genuinely asking, this is the correct build crystallized out of autistic amounts of testing and cross-referencing with other h40 players.
Believe it or not, I actually dump 64% damage because the stat is useless when you only make powered attacks. Inb4 hours of skubbing over this btw.

Best blessing in the game

Duellist is an important talent, because all your single target combos should ideally go into the head.
Unfaltering is optional, but it makes the weapon feel a lot better.
I run mine with Chorus, Purity aura and Blazing Piety. Yes, Blazing Piety does nothing for it. I bring the +10% crit aura because I'm not a griefing retard. It does not need a keystone.

The arbites would be better with the relic sword than the zealot is
>>
>>580140552
I haven't kept up with this conversation at all, so excuse me if I'm saying something unnecessary. All I wanna say is that the damage number doesn't tell the whole story, something you're obviously aware of as well, but it's worth pointing out for others who might not be as familiar with the game or what generally bears value. You did already address it slightly, but I wanted to add another element to this: I would imagine — and this is me simply postulating; I'm too lazy to test — Wrath's damage is likely spread among greater targets, meaning that without outside variables interfering, you're actually killing things slower on average than with Rampage. So even if the damage numbers end up being the same, during combat, Rampage has another reason for providing more value than Wrath.
>>
>>580144364
Did you get an AI to help you with this post? Yikes, my dude
>>
>>580144364
>Rampage has another reason for providing more value than Wrath.
Yes, in practice, the relic blade makes a fuckload of sprint stabs, heavy overheads, or light/push stabs into single targets, which Rampage just adds a +36% strength to.
It's also worth noting that the test I performed had no talents. The numbers WILL look different with talents, and likely skewed slightly in Wrath's favor without the cleave talent, and further in Rampage's favor with the cleave talent.
Additionally, testing for BP builds requires setup to reach max crit (not difficult but it takes a bit of time), and would require a larger sample size to account for crits.
>>580144521

>>580144623
>actual newfriend
In that case, don't worry about the dump stat. You don't need 76% heat, it's just mathematically optimal because those last 4% do not do anything, the engine rounds that away. All you're getting out of it is either 4% mobility, or 4% damage if you dumped damage. I don't recommend dumping damage either if you're new, since you will need some time to learn proper heat management, and likely end up playing IJ with bolter, because it's one of the more fun ways of playing zealot, and good enough in auric to be perfectly fine.
>TL;DR
Just dump 60% mobility and don't worry about optimization autism. I mentioned the important talents in the other post. Remember that it's a heavy attacking weapon, light attacks just lock you out too quick.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to when I said that you'd alright kind of addressed the nuance I was pointing out. However, it's only for about 3 seconds, so it's not as though you're always going to have this for single target.

I know about and use 0151 plenty elsewhere. /vg/ is too low IQ to even know about it, it's a safe enough assumption to make.
>it's only for about 3 seconds
Yeah, in practice that's only 2 attacks before you're swinging into the horde again, but that doesn't matter. Even the horizontal -> horizontal -> light stab benefits massively from it, and you should always throw light stabs into tougher targets between combos. Of course if it's a horde of exclusively armor, this changes to either sprint stab spam, or overhead overhead stab, which means you won't likely benefit from Rampage all the time, but again, just a singular swing into trash brings the blessing back up.
The main drawback is not being useful during boss fights, but neither is cleave.

Buff the arby auras, they are all kinda shit.
Rework Terminus Warrant, it's ass.
Buff Razor Jaw so it isn't useless, or keep it the same but change the dog "behaviour" where when it pounces the target it keeps "attacking" and keeps applying bleed stacks to the enemy.
Apply this change to Serrated Maw as well.

>/vg/ is too low IQ to even know about it, it's a safe enough assumption to make.
Yeah, I'm not at all surprised by the reaction, and I'm not upset about it. It is what it is.
>the rest
Yeah, it certainly still gets its use in during mixed hordes. Though I can't say I've ever had a habit of doing 2 horizontals and a light while clearing mixed hordes. Usually it's just horizontal heavy spam for me, with a break to pick out Maulers if they're in there. I'm usually not concerned enough with maintaining Rampage perfectly to interweave chaff killing with picking the more robust elites out of a crowd. I'm torn between admitting that it's a bit of lost damage while also not being sure it actually is worth doing. Because while having the buff does let you kill the elites faster, you still have to stop swinging (exclusively) at the elites to maintain the buff, which can and, depending on the scenario, will make it take even longer to pick those guys out. Ultimately, I think it's a fairly moot point though since you're generally going to do what the situation demands, regardless of what's optimal for Rampage uptime.

Cut the middle keystones, give arbitrator a second skill tree like scum, let players customize dog behavior and put LW in there as a separate tree that lets you pick either really strong self-buffs, or grenade regen. A ton of arbitrator players already cheat the dog into behaving correctly. A good developer would acknowledge this as a design failure.

>I can't say I've ever had a habit of doing 2 horizontals and a light while clearing mixed hordes
Get used to it, then. The light stab does humongous damage for what it is, it's really large single target DPS gains. Single target damage generally matters more in havoc, doubly so if it's Final Toll and spreading out damage among different targets is actually an active detriment, because you're just making them stun immune if you don't kill them quick.
>while also not being sure it actually is worth doing
It's not practical to actually intentionally swing into hordes to maintain the blessing, but it is very practical to weave single target attacks into your mixed horde combos.
I've been wanting to use a different blessing over Rampage for more single target damage, but there just isn't a good one. The next best thing would be heat management, but that's not where I'm struggling at all. Especially since chorus lets you dump some 80% heat during its duration.
>>
>>580146185
Oh and, yes, I know about Energy Leakage, but I rarely ever play at high heat, and doing so intentionally is very silly since you have no way of forcing the heat to dump.

I've noticed heavy attacks being interrupted and Unfaltering prevents that, but Thy Wrath Be Swift does the same and is cheaper to pick and gives move speed.
So do you think Unfaltering feels nice because of the heavy attack move speed penalty reduction? I don't think I've noticed that.

>>580145046
Jesus, I was right to single you out because only an obsessive FREAK would screenshot a post for his school shooter diary.
>>
>>580146436
>So do you think Unfaltering feels nice because of the heavy attack move speed penalty reduction?
Yes, it makes comboing less punishing, and require less combo resets, when you can just close the distance by sprinting forward with your heavy attack already in position. It is indeed very much optional, but after extensively testing both in h40 specifically, I would never drop Unfaltering because it just feels so much better to use. It also means you don't need to cope-slide everywhere before you start your swing.
I'd also always take Unfaltering in auric because who gives a fuck about skill points in auric?
This is pathing Bleed for the Emperor -> +2 wounds -> Unfaltering btw. It's probably never worth taking if you don't take the +2 wounds. I was ALREADY doing that, so there's no pathing cost.
>>
>>580146436
>So do you think Unfaltering feels nice because of the heavy attack move speed penalty reduction? I don't think I've noticed that.
i think the only weapon i take that on is thunderhammer, relic blade doesnt feel like it needs that part and i cant think of another weapon i play that might use it. maybe evis? but i hate the feel of chain weapons so idk

>>580146185
>>580146423
>Get used to it, then. The light stab does humongous damage for what it is, it's really large single target DPS gains.
I know it does, but I never found it necessary until Maulers join the fray, in which case I'm often singling them out anyway since the little stuff is typically irrelevant. I can certainly see the value in what you're suggesting, but I prefer to just kill Maulers and the like as fast as possible.
>Single target damage generally matters more in havoc
Yeah, that was certainly my experience with it, but I only played the first and second or third season of it. With fewer classes, almost every group had a flame Psyker, so this point went doubly for non-Psyker players.
>Energy Leakage
I could never be bothered to manage heat so strictly. It seemed somewhat impractical and mostly just a pain in the ass to deal with. I did like Heatsink as an alternative to Rampage for more powered uptime, but I have no idea how well that holds up mathematically, and Rampage having value when unpowered meant I ended up running it instead >90% of the time. And as you said, heat management isn't really a struggle anyway, even outside of Chorus builds. I do wish there were a better option for single target.

The good news is that single target is slightly less important now that overall armor numbers have been nerfed. The bad news is that enemy health has been buffed which means zealot has been nerfed because the class didn't keep up numbers wise, as fatshark evidently assumes everyone is Martyrdom-maxxing at all times.
>>
>>580147048
Well that's wonderful. I already hated that Zealot was relegated to Chorus duty when I find the ability boring as hell, so it's good to see things have gotten even worse for the prospect of ever having a relevant melee build in Havoc. As one would expect of Fatshark balancing, especially with regards to the perpetual mess that is Havoc.
>as fatshark evidently assumes everyone is Martyrdom-maxxing at all times.
On a personal front, that's turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy in Auric whenever I try to find Zealot as satisfying as I did in the past. One guess as to whether or not it works.
>>
>>580147368
>One guess as to whether or not it works.
It's fine for the most part. The problem is that you end up playing like a fucking pussy whenever bursters show up because auricshitters are completely random and unreliable, and will shoot them in your face 1/3 of the time. Or barrel you. And then if Until Death happens to be down, you wipe, because (You) dying means the team wipes, as is so often the case.

Stealth RB is "fine" in havoc, the problem is that such a role is unnecessary, and chorus + auras is just so much better. I've started maining crusher and going full support slut and staggering everything. It feels really bad to play save for a few funny moments (like rager spam inside a smoke grenade, stalling for minutes on end with everything knocked over) but it's undeniably very effective.
If you just want old zealot back, play full commit melee scum instead. 100% viscosity Rampage scum with the melee keystone does ungodly amounts of damage in havoc. If you're just playing auric, you can even make concessions like running chemdep like a fucking retard, just for the CDR.
>>

>I already hated that Zealot was relegated to Chorus duty when I find the ability boring as hell

It's fine, yeah, and I'm not trying to say it's bad in Auric, but it's not as satisfying as it used to be thanks to the powercreep in other classes. How do you feel like a blender as a Zealot when you've experienced blending as a Cummer or Skitarii? You don't.
>Bursters
Such is life. I moved UD's buff to the middle of my screen so that I know exactly when I can stop playing like a fucking pussy.
>Stealth RB is "fine" in havoc
I've heard that. I don't think anyone really ran it when I was playing Havoc. It certainly wasn't popular. I could imagine doing it with a premade or maybe as a host, but I have a hard time imagining groups accepting them all that often, and a lot of those groups are ones you probably wouldn't have wanted to be in if you cared about winning. As you said, the opportunity cost is immense.
>Crusher
kek yet another thing I loathe to play. I've tried a number of times, but I just fucking hate it. It is good though.
>If you just want old zealot back, play full commit melee scum instead
100%. That's the only Scum I've played since my Scum was in the 20s. It's just absurd. I love it. Skitarii melee builds with Transonics feel much the same, at least in Auric. I could see those falling off a little damage-wise in Havoc with the crit stun rising in value disproportionately.
>you can even make concessions like running chemdep like a fucking retard, just for the CDR.
Oh, I think I've talked to you about Chemdep vs AF before, like a month or so ago. Yeah, I've always ran it Chemdep for Auric. Keeping stimm ever-available in Havoc makes plenty of sense though.

>>580147678
I don't in Auric
>>
>>580148384
>I don't think anyone really ran [stealth] when I was playing Havoc.
Before the fuckhuge cooldown nerfs, stealth was arguably a top-tier build, because it allowed good, selfish players to (nearly) solo carry a lot of missions. Some assassination missions were completely soloable. It's still good enough to win with nowadays, but it's not something you play if you want to win. It's mostly stuckies who think stealth is optimal, and plebbitors who think the thammer is a good weapon.
>Skitarii melee builds in Havoc
Crit stun is indeed fucking excellent, but the damage becomes a little lacking, especially single target, since you do need to build up your brittleness stacks first before they really deal much damage. I haven't done any extensive testing, I suspect the maul to be slightly better, I just fucking hate the thing so I will never bother. Transonics rule in auric, of course.

>Before the fuckhuge cooldown nerfs, stealth was arguably a top-tier build
Interesting. I don't think I ever saw them in PF when I played, but I maybe did forty Havoc 35-40s in total before losing interest for a variety of reasons, so it's not like I'm basing that off a large sample size. To be honest, I'm not sure I would've ran it back then even if I did realize I could accepted with it; I wasn't a fan of the pathing to run stealth at the time.
>plebbitors who think the thammer is a good weapon.
U fucking wot m8. I argued here at one point that the TH was a solid C or B tier and decent all the way through to melee Maelstroms. This was before Havoc and before a lot of the power creep. The TH is a fucking turd by current standards. People really think it's good? In current year? Wew lad.
>Crit stun is indeed fucking excellent, but the damage becomes a little lacking, especially single target,
Yeah, no surprise there. What's your beef with the Maul? I've never been a huge fan of blunt weapons that aren't the poleaxe or a giant hammer that creates electric explosions, but I've enjoyed the Arc Maul.
>>
>>580149093
>People really think it's good? In current year? Wew lad.
When I checked plebbit the other week, like three different zealot threads all updooted posts about thammer memes, with any mentions of the relic blade being singular users.
>What's your beef with the Maul?
I just don't like the move set in the slightest. I already have to pay enough attention to juggle the noosy effectively, I can't also bother using the maul's move set correctly. I acknowledge that this is 100% a skill issue and that it's quite strong. I don't like the weapon enough to git gud at using it, and I mostly play base VE (not slotting an ability) so I'm missing a lot of value.
>>
>>580149271
>three different zealot threads all updooted posts about thammer memes
Surely they're not doing that because they think it's good...surely.
> I don't like the weapon enough to git gud at using it
That's fair enough.
>so I'm missing a lot of value
So do the arcs jump better when stuff is already electrified? I remember briefly wondering this when Skit came out, and the conclusion I remember reaching was a tentative yes, but I never bothered doing more extensive testing, and I never saw anything to tell me one way or the other in Kuli's guide. By that point, I stopped caring because I enjoy the Transonics a lot more anyway. Or did you mean something else by losing value from base VE? I assumed it was the explosion radius loss you were referring to since I'm not sure what else could really screw over the Arc Maul from running the base version of it.
>>
>>580149668
>So do the arcs jump better when stuff is already electrified?
Conjecture says yes, because arc maul + VE is apparently the highest damaging skitarii build available, and I see no other way of that happening. Again, I don't care enough about the weapon to bother finding out, so this is an informed guess. I can't say for sure and am not going to bother testing it.
>Or did you mean something else by losing value from base VE?
Yeah just the aoe loss. Also because I'm not slotting an ability, there's the obvious implication of using the servo skull for most of my capacitance. I still use the base ability to stun masses of armor, it's good enough at doing that. Most of my capacitance goes into specialists and gunners.

It's pretty good, but you burn your ranged weapon on it in a situation where anybody else should be bringing brittleness to the table with more effectiveness. If you pick up PBB and suck up all the ammo using the ripper, you ARE trolling and you WILL be declined.
>>
>>580152375
Explain to me how can opener is bad for me if I want to equip a slab shield with skullcrusher and brutal momentum.
Also don't forget to mention how high mobility on a ranged is bad too.
>>
>>580155671
Shield + rippergun is basically trolling if we're talking h40. You can apply infinitely more brittleness with GG or rumbler or paul or pickaxe pushes, if that's your goal. The shield does nothing on PBB builds, the rippergun is rather mediocre on non-PBB builds, and it's generally outclassed.
High mobility is obviously good in theory, but is unironically bad on the rippergun in practice, because you should ideally dump stability down to 0, and will very likely need a second dump stat to still max out the rest of your stats without going high on stability. I don't believe a true 0/80s is even possible due to how upgrades work.

>buff base damage by like 10%, 15% if you're feeling spicy
>keep ammo same
>fix the retarded stability issue
>give them tighter spread and lessen the reticle "bloom" during hipfire so more pellets on target during rapid fire (this might unironically be fixed if they just fixed the inverted stability issue)

It started around when the new skilltrees were added in october 2023.
The reason being that fartshart got lazy and only minorly buffed enemy health thinking it was enough, and then just resorted to spamming elites and specials as a form of difficulty.

Which was a terrible idea because all the best skills in this game, like say Psykinetic's Aura, trigger off of elite or specialist skills or both. Meaning them increasing elite and specialist enemy spawns only made those OP skills even more OP and desirable to use because because you could constantly trigger the skills.
It basically formed a positive feedback loop
more elite spam -> OP talents trigger more often -> make killing all enemies including elites easier -> talents trigger more often -> OP talents trigger more often -> rinse and repeat

A Ratling sniper would both need target highlighting through hordes and high ranged cleave in order to hit them through poxwalkers, both are doable. The real issue is that a Ratling would never be able to vault over things, and they're substantially shorter than humans, so they'd need a unique animation rig like Ogryn and Skitarii. It would be far simpler to just do a Squat merc, because then they'd just port over the dwarf animation rig from VT2, stick him in power armor and make him shooty.
>>
>>580174734
Also a ratling class would realistically be weaker than human classes.
Imagine running around only with 75 HP and 50 toughness while also being just fragile as hive scum if not more so, and then on top since you are shorter you can't vault over objects well either.
And the final cherry on top of this shit sunday, since you're the king of manlets you literally can't hit anything in the head while in melee.

Curio chance is a crapshoot, it's best to just farm melkbucks and roll for random curios that way. Takes ages to roll for a full set of ideal curios for every operator, but way less time than running missions. Alternatively you could stick to the curio chance and do the campaign version of Rolling Steel to cut down on the time it takes to get them as rewards, that would still take hundreds of hours.
>Also everyone tells me I should get some +toughness on a curio but I've never seen a single one in about 50 hours of play.
There are toughness curios that get you up to +17% toughness, then there's the +5% toughness perk you can put on any curio through Hadron's technodiddling. Getting the 17% requires luck.
>Somene tell me I'm not cursed and that I just don't understand the deep curio mechanics.
You're cursed with abysmal bad luck, sorry man, I don't make the rules.

If it helps, there's a mod that will alert you when there are ideal curios up for purchase both in Melk's shop and Brunt's shop. Someone else'll have to throw down the link, I've never used it.
>>
>>580183771
That's like the worst possible way to farm them. Go to Melk's shop and spend your tokens on random defensive curios. Otherwise keep an eye on the store.
You can replace each curio's perks with Hadron and you should go with stuff that actually helps you in fights (cooldown reduction, damage resistance for gunners/flamers/bombers, stamina regeneration, ally revive speed) instead of useless bullshit like that perk.

fire grenade is decent, but powercrept by other classes; you throw it at mixed hordes to clear out the trash and damage non-CRUSHER elites, or at crowds during a real bad director spawn moments, like BoN/Twins/Daemonhost ritual at the same time

Stun grenades are so bad, it's impossible to accurately describe how nightmarishly dogshit they are. Don't ever, ever, ever fucking use them, the stun is short and during the stun more enemies will just walk up, not to mention how many stun-resistant enemies there can be in the first place.

Why do people take Shred instead of Riposte (on weapons that have access to Riposte in the first place)?
What, you're not going to dodge? And with Shred one miss means you lose all your stacks, and it's not that hard to miss a singular attack with all of the boss knockback/dodging you do, and with your teammates staggering etc.
I'm not saying Shred is bad but isn't Riposte just better
>>
>>580194387
Makes sense, I'll consider the fire grenades because I'm genuinely just horrible at using the throwing knives.
>>
>>580192682
This anon almost got it right >>580194387
You don't really throw them at mixed hordes UNLESS you're specifically using the crusher to apply mass-brittleness (they don't deal good damage to armor without it), OR you have the brittleness blessing on your flamer (if you're running it).
Really, their only purpose is thinning or outright killing trash hordes, which is most useful during boss fights.
I haven't used knives in over a year now and I don't miss them either. The immolation grenades are very useful in the right situations. 2 immolation grenades clear a ritual without any other input, so you can toss one, chorus to buy yourself space, and toss the second, if you're the only one paying attention to it, which will happen sometimes.
Also stun grenades are "fine", it's just that every zealot should run chorus and max revive speed, both of which are better in that role than the grenades could ever hope to be.

>>580196628
sure, have fun.
protip - use them EXTREMELY sparingly, only in those "oh shit oh fuck" moments. And defer grenade pickups to other classes, you're the last in order to pick them up, basically if everyone else is full then you can snatch them
>because I'm genuinely just horrible at using the throwing knives.
I'd recommend you get good at knifejutsu anyway, it is a necessary skill to have on zealot.
It's not that hard, too, trust me, just aim slightly above the head and you'll kill it.
Start with shorter ranges, don't be afraid to knife someone from like 5-8 meters away, longer ranges will come in time.

Humans have inbuilt ballistic processors, we're really good at eyeballing trajectories, you'll get there
>>
>>580197068
>the brittleness blessing on your flamer
Throwing a flame nade into a chokepoint and then flaming the incoming CRUSHER rapetrain (psyker with brittleness staff optional) is ridiculously fucking fun, you remember the old Rotten Armor mod with like 50 gorillion crusher spawns?
fun times.
>>
>>580197364
The only thing I miss about it, is pre-nerf HP numbers actually allowing the flamer to be useful damage-wise. Its damage has unfortunately been borderline power crept out of relevance. It's great at suppressing/staggering with the primary, and the brittleness it applies is good, but that's unfortunately kind of it. If you ever need to use it for damage, that's a failure on your team's part.
>>
>>580198012
Yeah nowadays it's basically a mass-brittleness applier and that's it
I don't mind it, but I fucking hate how Fagshart buffed the enemy HP and then just forgot about half of the existing weapons roster, I whined about it a few threads ago but they released Arbitrator with a cool "sniping" mark and then immediately fucked it the next patch by buffing enemy HP, it's so retarded

I didn't even notice this desu. I'm pretty sure that with enough damage + Soulguilt Scan it still one-taps all gunners at medium range. At least, I don't remember struggling to snipe enemies with it in h40. But it's also been a while since I've bothered playing arbitrator in h40 because it's pretty underwhelming and less impactful to carry with than a well-timed chorus. Plus, I don't like playing the BTL/AV damage build.

Tangentially, I HAVE had a run with a good arbitrator recently. The guy was a fucking unicorn. Actually used BTL correctly and kept shit knocked over most of the time. I kinda just hugged him and nothing ever touched me, that was pretty cool. But a good ogryn does that AND 6 gorillion damage unfortunately.

One of the four Chaos Champions who are basically Chaos Space Marines that stand head and shoulders above most mortal servants of their respective patron gods. Lucius’ shtick is that he is an absurdly skilled swordsman and duelist and obsessed with being the best ever, he’s top 10~ in the setting more or less, and he was already a beast in a fight before he even fell to Chaos and was just a regular marine. He’s fought and killed some of the deadliest units every faction has to offer like Ork Warbosses, Drukhari Incubi and Archons, other high ranking Space Marine champions (including the Emperor’s Champion of the Black Templars) and has also bested the best duelists other legions had to offer like Sanakht of the Thousand Sons, who’s chances of losing were so infinitesimally slim other marines of the TS literally couldn’t even foresee a future in which he was defeated in single combat via their precognitive Psyker powers. His main thing is that he can’t be killed by anyone while they’re feeling pride or he’ll possess their bodies shortly after, but this has been upgraded because he can now possess even Necrons so it seems just killing him is enough to trigger it. He also has a barbed whip (the red tentacles in the picture) that’s actually a sentient daemon weapon that can project the pain of anyone it strikes and captures to those in the area, the original sword Fulgrim himself used to wield, and armor with combat drugs imbedded in it that can reduce people to red mist via sonic screams produced by all of the souls of his killers that are also trapped within it. His biggest weakness is that because he’s Slaaneshi associated he’s also overconfident and rarely actually tries in a fight, but even when not trying he can tear apart regular marines (Chaos or otherwise) like nothing.
>>
>>580200015
>>580108335
He’s always seeking new heights of sensation and he accordingly pulls his punches, he likes to play with his food but also knows 95~ percent of the setting simply can’t handle him firing on all cylinders, if he were to instagib everyone he came across instantly he’d be potentially depriving himself of experiencing something new, so you need to personally offend him to make him go all out.

The Leagues of Votann are the descendants of Dark Age of Technology era humans who were sent to the galactic core as mining prospectors. Their tech is really advanced accordingly, and they’ve fiercely maintained their overall independence from other empires like the Tau and Imperium, though because of their decentralized nature you’ll frequently find ‘merchant guilds’ working in collaboration with both. They have giant supercomputers that serve as an ‘afterlife’ for themselves but these are slowly starting to fail because they’re being overloaded. They also have giant mining rigs that can swallow moons/planets whole and basically scrap them whole for valuable materials.

I tried to fuck around with it a little bit, full crit plays basically like the base meta version of it, it's strong but too random to be consistent, and the strength charge version is too slow and too ammo-hungry to be used in game imo

Basically what happened.
The artist was a woman that was knee deep in fujo guro shit. I remember checking their twitter one time out of morbid curiosity and it's bio said something like "femboy trap teehee" the typical fag-noun jargon. Then I saw one of their tweet talking about how they had gotten some sort of surgery too, didn't specify.
So the artist was a fujoshi woman, who was believed themselves to be a effeminate guy, who is pretending to be a woman. They literally trooned out twice, somehow.

Shroud should be buffed to actually be useful outside of that meme niche.
The main balance problem is that shroud makes certain weapons far too strong. Relic blade is the biggest offender. It's fine if thammer can one-shot bosses from stealth in its current state, but thammer is also a piece of shit that needs reworking.
>>
>>580207368
Yes, that's basically the primary reason to even use FotF: exploiting the way it interacts with chain weapons. I'm about 90% sure that's not intended in any way. The interaction between FotF and eviscerator and chain axe is basically the only reason to use either of those on zealot. Chain sword is just a worse eviscerator fwiw.

>Literally what the ability is designed for
>noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it shouldn't do that!
You have to optimize your build for it to do that and lock out other better talent points for your built.
It can't even really 1tap H40 bosses without some added brittleness or other outside factors from your team.

It's definitionally more balanced than a lot of other shit in the game since you have to make compromises.
>>
>>580207913
>It can't even really 1tap H40 bosses without some added brittleness or other outside factors from your team.
A charged RB sprint backstab does, what, like 80% of a boss' health effortlessly? I forget the exact numbers but even a bolt pistol is enough to finish it off. Literally one-shotting is a meme niche regardless. If the ability were actually useful outside of that meme niche, that would be better for the game overall, and it would be fine to lose that meme niche. Relic blade being able to do it in the first place is not okay anyway, that weapon has no tangible weakness, it doesn't also need that strength.

>>
>>580214014
Zealot is weakest, but fucking shroud isn't the thing that's keeping it above water, it's fucking chorus.
Zealot's damage should be buffed, but at the same time I don't think the damage buff help it as much as people think.
Like the major issue in aurics why zealot feels bad to play is because you're primarily a melee class, but all classes in the game get access to super strong guns that can just kill everything before you even manage to run up to the enemies to hit them.
The damage buff would certainly help in havoc I agree on that. But at the sametime I don't think damage buffs will be enough to make damage zealot worth running in havoc since Chorus would still exist, which is insanely powerful ability thanks to gold toughness + stagger + suppression + ledging + enabling skullcrusher.

Like it's possible for Fatshark to make damage zealot as strong as chorus zealot, but they would have to buff zealot's damage so unrealistically fucking high that it'd make 100% viscosity Rampage Hive Scum look weak in comparison. Which would have a knock on effect of making lower difficulties even more of a joke than they are now. And that amount of power creep totally wouldn't piss off the entire playerbase.

Yes, actually.
>800x100
That's 80,000 health. 80,000 - 27,000 = 53,000 HP of enemies still standing there. The lockout occurs before they all die, my dear mathlet. The entire point was to spawn enough enemies to where every hit could reach maximum cleave, to be fair to the cleave stat. Spawning a massively excessive amount of enemies is necessary to achieve that. The test was purely about damage, not about kills.
>>
>>580217325
>Yea idk why people are even discussing this.

We already know the devs are going to do this. After releasing the Bound by Duty update that gave us the update skilltrees for all classes, the devs have said they are planning on working with skilltrees more.
So there being a yet ANOTHER skilltree rework coming in the upcoming September update is not at all impossible.

It's much more common for hordes to be too thin for that much cleave to ever matter, and Rampage powering up the single target stab to help clear out mixed hordes is another huge advantage.
Realistically, an in-depth test would involve multiple different kinds of hordes, multiple re-runs to weed out any randomness or user error (or ideally use a cheat to consistently swing in the same pattern every time), across different skill builds. Or: It would require over an hour of effort.
I'm not willing to invest more than the baseline effort to shut up some brown retard, when the concept that is being proven, is already extremely well-established among the high-level player crowd. He's the one making extraordinarily retarded claims, and not even going through the basic steps of trying to prove anything. He's also retarded enough to not run Cranial Grounding so I probably needn't explain how utterly worthless his opinion is, if you know anything about the relic blade.
>>
>>580219272
It yields useless data that has nothing to do with what happens in a real game
You know there's like a couple different mods that just spawn you into archivum with a standard H40 horde/elite composition and you test the damage there normally? You don't actually have to do weird retard shit to test things you can just do real conditions
>>
>>580219454
Yes, I do know. It would still require prolonged, actual effort. I already explained why I shan't bother with that. This place is far too autistic and obsessed with "winning" arguments in the most brown way possible to let data speak for itself, so accumulating in-depth data is irrelevant if done only for the sake of proving a brown retard wrong. I already know the optimal setup, I don't need to prove it to myself.
>>
>>580219676
>It would still require prolonged, actual effort.
Maybe if you're retarded, it takes like 5 mins to download the mods and load into the actual non retarded test environment. Whatever you're doing is way more effort
>>
>>580219801
It takes more than 5 minutes to satisfy most autists' retarded build expectations, but sure, let's assume you're right: Why are you making these posts instead of going and doing that yourself? If it only takes 5 minutes that data should be trivial for you to collect. I already said repeatedly that I won't do it.
>>
>>580219970
Do whatever buddy I'm not trying to convince you of shit. Just pointing out you're literally putting in more effort for less valuable data, which is retarded. Be stubborn about it if you will, it won't solve your issue of nobody giving a shit about your "tests" though

I actually don't mind the idea of reworking shroud a bit.
Make it deal a lil less damage, but have it not dissipate after an attack, and the duration can be extended a bit every time you get a kill (with dimishing effects etc..)
The boss one shotting is a lil obnoxious, but you should be able to flank and murder a bunch of elites.
Also you should be forced to use the knife but I'm not sure how the numbers can be tweaked for that.

Well it's "successful" dodge which means a lot of the dodging around I do is preemptive for spacing rather than reacting to any one incoming attack. Given how much shit is swinging at you at any given moment, it probably has good uptime regardless but I have more feedback assuring me of Shred's uptime as it's pretty easy to see when your weapon hits an enemy. This is entirely a vibes-based thing for me, I've never really done test runs and looked at uptime data between the two. Besides, that anon is using a dueling sword, you just go swish swish swish and you've got max stacks again the fucker attacks so fast.

It was a bit of a clown show of different problems compounded with me being really new at Linux. On an Nvidia card I was getting dogshit performance and random hard crashes that required a PC reboot, thought it was just because Nvidia sucks with their Linux support. Switched to AMD as the card was well overdue for an upgrade anyway, then found out this new AMD model specifically had some kind of issue with the Ubuntu kernel (reminds me I need to check for any updates that might have fixed that, it's been a while) so I switched from a laggy crashing card to a crashing card that gave me good FPS at least. THEN it turns out, a lot of the initial crashes didn't have anything to do with my GPU anyway, it was some other issue where Ubuntu wasn't controlling my fans correctly and the CPU fan would just stop spinning and shut everything down for thermal reasons, so I probably would have been stable on the Nvidia if I'd figured that out first.

>>
>>580242019
>How is the arbitrator a crutch class?
NTA but it really is. Dog trivializes the game up to heresy, and having infinite toughness renders you nigh invulnerable as long as you actually press buttons, up to damnation. In auric you just have to locate your shotgun, skill Forceful, and fire your shotgun at enemies. Tard stance is an entire ability dedicated to being a crutch. True Grit is a crutch.
Arbitrator not being amazing in h40 doesn't mean it's not a crutch class. All the opinionated plebbitors don't even play auric, so this rings even truer when you consider the amount of games being played in heresy.
I'd definitely rank it as the easiest class to win auric with because nothing can touch you. Its main competition is PBB rumbler ogryn, but not only is that a specific build, it also has actual problems with hitting faraway snipers that would render you unable to complete certain hacking objectives, so it's far from perfect. Yes, I'm assuming all 3 teammates are dead and/or too retarded to do anything without having their hand held, that's like 50% of the auric population, and climbs to ~80% or higher with every major update.
>>
The arbites is the crutch class then what is the crotch class?

>Is this all Psyker has to offer?
>>
>>580244772
Smite is literally very strong. Smite being strong is the entire reason it's played by useless retards, because it's such a powerful crutch. Empowered Psionics makes big numbers happen with it. A good player piloting smite can invalidate a large potion of the game without being the stereotypical smigger that shits his diapy whenever a straggler gets through.
>what are the other two good builds?
Ground pound staff is good. It's a little bit behind in damage, but it has a lot of control.
Blazing Spirit FGS crit spam is strong in h40 for the same reasons as flame staff, but doubles as a leftclick build for sniping purposes, and can also use ground pound staff. It's similar to the old Puncture bistol exploit (which was fixed), just now actually sanctioned by fatshark and doesn't require a million APM to pull off.
>>
>>580245653

Here you go bro. Just put Shred and Blazing Spirit on your sword. Crit perk probably isn't terrible, flak is likely your best perk.
>>
>>580245991
Kek okay but like, is this another Scrier's build for critmaxxing? Or are we supporting something else by making the FGS a burn stacker? Cause if it's just Scriers again I don't really think it's much different from any other Scryer FGS build, or at least I don't see the point.
>>
>>580246536
Passive brainpop, Souldrinker, warp/non-warp, crit aura, Scrier's mostly for peril management because you'll spam the moonlight slash a lot. Rest is up to you. You can play it like a standard FGS build with DD.
The difference is that you play as a semi-ranged unit with infinite cleave horde clear because every slash has a chance to put soulblaze on targets, and weapon swapping breaks you out of the backswing letting you fondle your sword faster.
>>
>>580246701
>and weapon swapping breaks you out of the backswing letting you fondle your sword faster.
Sorry but can you explain what you mean by this one too? Also, Shriek+soulblaze talent for peril management instead? I guess it's leaving a lot of crit on the table just for the sake of being a contrarian though...
>>
>>580246701
>>580246904
Oh nvm I see what you mean about the weapon swap thing now. So are you just firing off a buncha non-charged warp slashes to fish for big cleaving soulblaze stacks then?
>>
>>580246904
>Sorry but can you explain what you mean by this one too?
You fondle your sword, throw the beam, and then your frail psyker body is stuck in a really long backswing animation where you can't do anything except weapon swap. Swapping back and forth resets your animations and lets you fondle your sword again to throw another beam immediately.
Shriek is fine, but the sword isn't as reliable in stacking soulblaze as the staff would be, so you run into awkward timings where you're high on peril but don't want to waste your shriek. Gaze is definitely superior.
>>580247140
Yes, you just spam slashes, with gaze giving you infinite peril to work with.

>>
>>580248538
I take smite for that reason. I use smite maybe 3-4 times a mission. It's great when used sparingly, and the damage loss from not having brain burst is whatever, when smite can buy me not having 2 retards die.
It's also just really good on gaze builds because you can hold that shit for 20 seconds without any issue, if need be.

Thanks to everyone giving me tips on my penance struggles. Only 40 stunned enemies on Zealot remaining, and I hope I'll get that eventually as I clean up 100 runs with no team downs.
Does anyone have a good build for that? I'll probably stick to Malice until I have the stun kills then drop the difficulty to uprising and try to speedrun missions, but forced matchmaking might make that inefficient?
>>
>>580250820
>100 runs with no team downs.
I did that back when havoc was new, running babby level assignments. Those basically no longer exist though. Maybe uprising Rolling Steel if you really, really want to grind it? You can force repeat it through the story mode, second panel. Very few people play that on the lowest difficulty, so you'll likely get bots. Just be careful about rushing too fast, Sw*des can't code so when your bots teleport to keep up, they can, in some sections, teleport out of bounds and instantly die.

I'd personally recommend you don't worry about the 100 runs with no downs. That will probably happen naturally.

>>580251389
Yes, I've amassed 29 clean runs passively so far, and I still have a bunch of misc penances to clean up that will need some specific builds or situations. At some point I expect to have everything I'm chasing except the 100 clean runs though, so I'm trying to passively optimise for that. I think Zealot is a good choice for that since it is both fast and can keep a team on their feet if built for it from what I can tell. Might switch to Arbiter or Skitarii if I get too bored even though they might not be as efficient.
>>
>>580251432
This was back when you could 1shot crushers
>>
>>580251701
I wouldn't worry too much about keeping the team alive. The kind of shitter to go down often enough to die in the lower difficulties, is most likely completely hopeless, and no amount of hand holding can protect them. Either you leave the retard to die, or you leave the other two players to their own devices, as they always split up and get lost playing loot goblin.
The only class that's particularly bad at team play is hive scum. All the others can be reasonably helpful, as long as you bring the skills that benefit your team. Even arbitrator, as long as you take Canine Morale.
The main thing I'd worry about instead, is having a build that can indiscriminately delete all bosses, including daemonhosts that are sitting in the way. Classes with access to the boltgun (put unyielding on it) do it easily. Skit can build the plasma gun for it, or claw. Ogryn has rumbler and PBB in general. Scum has the RPG. Psyker is the least obvious, but the greatsword's single target damage is kind of unethical, and otherwise you can either soulblaze the boss and kite it, or throw leftclick staff balls at it with unyielding on your staff. Fully upgraded brain burst also works with double wall, especially if you can get your hands on a blue or red stimm.
>>
>>580163105
Interesting, this makes sense.
I think it also explains part of zealot weakness: they have a bajillion ways to get toughness back On Kill. But if you suck a little, you suck even more.

>>580214014
It's not hard to understand.
The issue is that Zealot overall is shit and so every build narrowly relies on 1 of 3 or so crutches.
Shroud seems like one of those crutches because it has the POTENTIAL to 2-shot a boss, but that is a poor choice because with a Shroud-1shot-build you're trash for 95% of the game, and the 5% occurrence is something the team overall can handle anyway. So it encourages foolish zealots to aim for this 5% occurrence.
If shroud had less damage boosts but *something else* to makeup for it, then it would be less useful to 1-shot a boss and more useful 95% of the time.

It's the same as Relic blade should be nerfed slightly: it's currently a crutch but if it was nerfed alongside Zealot overall buffed, then RB it wouldn't be such a mandatory choice and there'd be more variety.

>>580216764
My perception is that Scum is fast enough to get in and out of melee as needed and has a really strong toughness-on-hit talent for their survivability, and zealot doesn't compare as well being slower (with their 2 unique weapons being very slow) and having multiple toughness-on-hill talents (expensive to take all of them).
If you boosted the numbers of zealots talents it would still be a similar dynamic, so I think there needs to be a rework of the talent connections (so it's not as point-expensive) as well as how they gain damage and survivability boosts.
Simply increasing the effective speed of zealot would make them more powerful but encroach on the Scum's identity.

The clean run penance is about no downs, not no deaths. That's still doable, since shit like getting trapped or pinned by a dog doesn't void it as long as you get the person up before they enter bleed out.
>>
>>580252592
>The clean run penance is about no downs, not no deaths
Right yeah I forgot about that. You can't really prevent retards from going down, although you can help prevent it by feeding them a fuckload of toughness. In that case, skitty may be your best bet, with all of the toughness regen talents, and the toughness share. The main thing that causes shitters to go down is building no sources of toughness recovery and then just eating shit because they also can't play such a build.
>>
>>580252712
If that's true, wouldn't be Chorus Zealot the best, especially since I can protect the team from going down in hordes or against bosses?
>>
>>580253059
No, because your retards will be in dire straits more often than you can possibly chorus. Also you can't support retards against bosses, you must kill them yourself.
You should still bring chorus when you're playing zealot of course, but they're not going to make use of it at all. They never do.

Okay this build is gas. Kind of surprised I've never seen a single soul playing this in Auric, I slapped a recon las on it and it feels like a great "does a bit of everything pretty good" build.
>>
>>580257464
>Kind of surprised I've never seen a single soul playing this in Auric
Most players in general, including auric, don't know how to make their own builds. They either do the most retarded shit possible, or get some tardslantern build to spoonfeed them, and most tardslantern builds are also complete ass. If it's not on tardslantern, and no jewtuber made a guide on it, nobody in auric and below will even know about its existence. Many players don't even read their talents, and in a way, I can't completely blame them, because fagshart can't write correct descriptions either, so a lot of this shit is guesswork unless you know about kuli's guides or datamine that shit on your own.
The sword beam thing came from a recent patch that explicitly made that soulblaze blessing compatible with crit slices. You know what most players also don't do? Read patch notes. Chances are someone tried that before, it didn't work, and thus they completely forgot about it.
I don't play much psyker myself, but I saw a psyker do it in h40 on HK servers and deal millions of damage with it. He didn't perform any tangibly worse than flame staff, the build just looked extremely weird, and I assume he hosted because nobody accepted him. Given the nature of a predominantly melee build, he also didn't need as much babysitting, and the staff effortlessly dealt with gunner nests. Strong build.

All rope extracts suck dick unfortunately (though maybe not the hospital's). If you weren't already, make sure to keep at least one explosive to cover your ass on the way out.
As for map-specific advice, the second floor of the cheese store on Broadway helo extract is a good spot to hold out; if you line up your kicks, knocking down two zombies on the stairwell is enough to hold off the horde behind them and you'll be back to full stamina before they get back up.
Or you could sit ontop of the SWAT van at the end of the street, but where's the thrill in that?

Slow internet? It's a bit late to suggest now but IF you decide to switch distros again, you should create separate partitions for / and /home, that way if you then want to switch or reinstall AGAIN after that, sometime in the future, you can preserve all your data in /home. Alternatively something like a /media partition just for your heavy game and video files. After somehow bricking my first two attempts at Linux I learned this lesson the hard way.

Top looks fine, center looks fine, can probably drop the left side DR. Bottom is fairly standard stuff, and I think this is almost identical to the guy I saw in h40. I personally prefer the left keystone for its toughness generation, but if I were going DD, my build would look very similar.
Biggest change I'd make is pick up the staff leftclick node above the left aura, but you said you were using a gun, so that's obviously out.
>>
>>580269148
>can probably drop the left side DR
Where would you put it instead? That's the one that scales with perils so it's almost always ramped all the way up, but maybe it's overkill. Personally I think if I dropped it I'd swap it to the improved dodges.
>I personally prefer the left keystone for its toughness generation

Double check whether the +10% ranged damage applies to soulblaze while holding your sword, I forget whether it does that. There probably isn't anywhere else you can reasonably put that point in your build on second thought.
It's been a while since I've bothered with psyker's skill tree so take this with a grain of salt. My opinions aren't that well informed.

Didn't even consider that it could, given that "ranged damage" doesn't affect other secondary effects on weapons, like the Mk.3 Plasma explosion(I am mad about this yes), so I'll make sure to check that out too.

Few things with Rogue Core vs og DRG.
One is lacking diversity in mission types, somehow they think the way players should get their exp in rogue like is through mining vein as in a modified version of morkite. Only the recent update 2, they add a modify event for players to gain exp from enemy drops instead and no mining expedite vein, which feels more natural because Rogue Core is more combat focus.
Two, as roguelike, game itself focuses on slow progression power up during each mission, each mission is basically a deep dive, it's overall taking much more time commitment to complete a mission more than DRG mission.
Third, despite dev says this is a standalone spin off not a sequel, not all weapons in DRG are implemented in Rogue Core yet, there are a few new weapons not in DRG though.
Fourth is typical as everyone says before, plenty of people in closed alpha had giving feedbacks on why many things were really bad and discord/forums is no criticism allowed. Oh boy, they act surprised on early access how many negative reviews they get.
I understand company wants to make money because cosmetic dlcs obviously aren't enough for them to keep working. But at the same time, I don't think they should have gone with rogue like aspect in a heavily coop game.

I also have Survivor game, I used to like it a lot when it was first started in early access. Then I hate it every time I come back to check new stuffs, they keep adding more grind and chore as some form of achievement. Yes, lots are very intentional picking shit for underpowered weapons in a run, aka you won't success, have fun play on a boring easier diff. Plenty of weapons are trash so balance is dogshit. Yet as a survivor clone game, they don't let you be truly overpowered with upgrades, game always feel you have to be on your toes most of the time. Oh btw, for whatever the reasons, they have RNG loot gears bullshit like Diablo, but you can only earn them after a success run, you fail well so sad.

Incubi are high tier physical fighters within the setting. These are guys who move so fast they can casually deflect and dodge projectiles moving 8 times the the speed of sound. I’d only put top tiers like Solitaires, Exarchs and Custodes above them personally, plus maybe 2 or 3 Tyranid bioforms (though some of this is subject to change depending on the sources you use of course), and mind you, Lucius defeated 3 of them, *at once*. Plus they have to fulfill some grueling conditions to first become one and it’s very much a respected title/position to hold even within Dark Eldar society like >>580242983 says and that’s rather difficult to gain from them.
It’s generally agreed that the Daemon Primarchs are superior to their respective Champions. Khǎrn for example, the Champion of Khorne, got his shit pushed in pretty decisively by Angron. I personally wouldn’t rate Lucius’ chances against Fulgrim very high either. Though we also have stuff like Typhus, the Champion of Nurgle, threatening Mortarion, his daemon Primarch, to his face, so it’s possible it’s a case by case thing. Then there’s Greater Daemons who can potentially outclass or beat them too. Even besides those though, you have others who could definitely give them a run for their money if not outright defeat them, exceptional Daemons like Skulltaker, a guy who hunts Grey Knights (marines who specialize in fighting daemons) for sport and who once killed 20 of the aforementioned Exarchs in a single fight, those guys with accumulated experience so extensive they make Space Marine captains look like children ontop of being equal or superior to Incubi. Basically, they’re good, among the best, but they have their peers and equals.

>Is that roguelite they made any good?
It's not bad but it has a massive identity crisis. It's too random to put together an initial build that can carry you through the game and it's not random enough to have the moment to moment upgrades be impactful. Most upgrades require another upgrade or event to be actually impactful and if you never get those related enablers the run just ends up feeling like miserable dogshit the entire way through. There's also a massive time commitment, each run takes at minimum 30 minutes and that's not counting the 10-20 minutes you spend each run in the upgrade menu waiting for your team to pick their upgrades. Testers have been telling them this for years but they absolutely refused to listen until the game launched into EA and they got bodied by terrible review scores complaining about the exact same stuff testers have been.

They started fixing all the complaints 2 weeks after launch but after their first update went live they went on their quarterly mandatory swedish 2 month break which caused the game to hemorrhage players. Also unlike DRG's EA they are only pushing weekly/biweekly updates to the experimental branch and not the main "stable" branch so nobody bothers to switch over to experimental because there's no playerbase and people bail on the game because the main branch is updated only once a month.

Yes and no.
It's more likely that the Ubersreik 5 just straight up die during the End Times. It's what happened when Chaos devoured the Warhammer World (the unironic name of the planet WHF setting took place on).

Also if Ubersreik 5 survive to AoS there's like 80% chance they'll make the characters into NPCs that you can meet in some hub world.
Or GW has Fatshark pull of a "they all died but then their souls reincarnated and found each other again without remembering their former lives".

That wouldn't be terrible, I suppose. I just kind of hate space marines, I don't think it's an uncommon opinion to say they smother the setting.
>>
>>580316896
You hate Space Marines because in all scenarios they are unstoppable walking tanks of pure firepower.
Renegades are the opposite, they rely on stealth and ambush tactics because they can't just get help from their chapter with a dozen drop pods if things go bad.
They have a fascinating rulebook in both the SM and CSM codices.
Because of their Excommunicate Traitoris status, they can't just dock at any Imperial space port for refueling and repairs.
They usually steal stuff from the Imperium itself, trade with Rogue Traders and/or Xenos, or turn into mercenaries.
Their tactics are the opposite from your average loyalist chapter: they are constantly mobile to avoid detection and purgation, prefer ambushes and subtlety to pure brute force frontal assaults, and their vessels are always in the Warp to avoid Space Auger Arrays (radar) from Imperial ships.
At least those that don't immediately fall to Chaos are like that.
Those that do usually don't give a fuck, and just kill, maim, burn, and rape their way through the Imperium.

I think i found a way to rework Inexorable Judgement in a way that would make it fun(or hated depending on your level of enthusiasm for speedrunning)

First thing.
The reason why nobody picks Inexorable Judgement is not because it's bad(it is), you just have too little control over it since it triggers on hit, any hit.
So that means that even if you want to stack it to cap, sometimes in this game there is shit on your screen that you need gone, so now you have 10% attack speed and dmg instead of 20%.

My crackhead solution to this is to lean into a "swift slaying" playstyle.
Instead of having it gain stacks while doing any moving and then triggering those stacks on hit which then resets the stacks, how about we just make it a straight up sonic the hedgehog perk where the goal is to hold down shift for as long as possible?

The new Inexorable Judgement i have in mind would work like this:
Sprint and slide stamina cost is reduced by 50%
While sprinting Zealot gain Intangibility.
Intangibility enables you to move through enemies, but you will still take damage if hit.
While sprinting you gain Momentum.
Each stack of Momentum grants you: 1% movement speed, 1% melee attack speed, 1% ranged attack speed & 1% damage, (stacks 100 times)
Stacks quickly dissipate while not sprinting.

So in essence i would make it a feedback loop, where the longer you sprint the faster you get, which enables you to kill faster.

The numbers can ofc be tweaked, since i'm not able to test it, especially the stack count.
I got no idea what the stack caps should be, but the idea of Zealot having literally double the move speed is just funny to me.
I think this would fit both the overall fantasy of Zealot being a relentless slaughter machine, while also enabling some player skill expression.
I'm sure you could rework the other purple nodes around the Inexorable Judgement keystone with something like "stamina recovery on kill while sprinting" or something.

Thoughts?

the fact that a bunch of retarded glue eaters (often babysat by an arby or a skitty) can take down a fucking Beast of Nurgle means lorewise we could go against a Carnifex, and live to tell the tale

Alright.
Imagine if every poxwalker was replaced by an unarmored Crusher, with the exact same HP, swing range, stagger resistance, and mass.
Then make a variant that works exactly like a Mutant, but heavily armored.
And make an additional variant that plants a banner that is completely immune to ranged weapons, gives every beastmeme health regeneration, AND doubles their health pool.
Just imagine how fun that would be.
>>
>>580323771
I like the base idea, but idk about the intangibility

>(stacks 100 times)

>>
>>580324327
Yea the numbers need to be tweaked as i said.
Still the entire idea of the perk is to enable more spriting, so i think the stam reduction should be big to keep it going.
50% might be too much yea, 20-25& would probably be reasonable plus curios+perks.
Ideal i would want it to stack with the stamina reduction cost aura so people actually pick it sometimes.

The intangibility part is new, so ofc it would have to also be balanced properly.
But i don't really see the problem in being able to run through a horde if they are able to still hit you.
What would you make it do?

>slide stamina cost
Brainfart.

>>580324468
I use it, and honestly kinda like, mostly for the movespeed.
It just feels ass to miss out on dmg since you have no way to control when you dump stacks unless you wanna just run in circles while your team deals with the enemies.
At least with this version you would still run into enemies while stacking up.

And lets be real here, Inexorable Judgement is the weakest keystone Zealot has.

>Blizzard
>in fucking currentyear
The Blizzard you fondly remember died in 2008 when Kotick took over. Everything they've released since has been pure slop. Overwatch was an accidental success and got worse and worse and fucking worse until they shot it in the head with Overwatch "2" which was a literal downgrade from 1 and had none of the features that were announced. It was, and still is, just a vehicle for selling gambling and coomer skins. I probably don't need to mention how fucking dogshit Diablo 3 and onwards were, especially Immoral.

Going by all of the above, there is nothing to be excited over. It'll be overproduced AAA slop, meaning it'll very likely look absolutely gorgeous and completely nail the aesthetic and probably even the voice acting, and that's it. Puddle-shallow gameplay, kneejerk balancing, engagement optimized matchmaking to squeeze more money out of you by shoving fancy premium skins in your face, too many dark patterns to name, etc. etc. but extremely mediocre gameplay. It'll be pretty enough to dazzle you into maybe buying something before you realize it's complete dogshit.

This is any prospective Blizzard game. I don't care WHAT the product is, Blizzard has acquired the shitedas touch.
>>
>>580330082
I don't care. I want maps and content. I don't want to keep doing the hopium/copium cycle of waiting around to see if fatshart is going to do something besides make classes and beg me to play shitty alternative game modes. I'm tired of AA coopslop nothingburgers. That's how low the bar is
>>
>>580330426
You don't care about gameplay? Sure, go play literally any other coopslop that recently released. You get to pick between infinite variety of

>underbaked dogshit gameplay with a mediocre looking alien skin
>underbaked dogshit gameplay with some fuckugly cartoon aesthetic
>FOTM friendslop
>FOTM friendslop the second
>FOTM friendslop the third
Blizzardslop will just be extremely polished, shiny even, perhaps gilded, sparkling, downright fragrant, and STILL a turd at the center because it's fucking Blizzard. I urge you not to get your hopes up because it will invariably be worse below the surface than the AA coopslop you are already playing, once you get over the honeymoon phase of being wowed by how pretty the aesthetic is.

Good posts. Anyone having faith in current Jizzard of all companies after all the shit they’ve done to literally every single one of their games has lost their minds. Plus the apparent candidate for this new game was never great to begin with.
>>
>>580332981
I think, conceptually, Starcraft is a very underexplored franchise/setting and they really did it dirty in recent years. The idea of a Starcraft co-op shooter sounds awesome on paper. Even if you were to just take all of the existing RTS shit, Terran units sound quite fun to play in a first-/third-person shooter setting, and zerg are obviously fun to gun down.
It just instantly turns to shit when you remember who owns the IP. Like at this point, the only way I would trust anything Blizzard branded is if some third party were contracted to make the game. It'd still be forced to ship with predatory slop, but there's at least a chance it's developed by a company whose management actually cares about gameplay more than some predatory bottom line squeezing whales and children for every dime possible before even considering what the game should play like.
>>
>>580325762
>Ideal i would want it to stack with the stamina reduction cost aura so people actually pick it sometimes.
The aura is really good for melee oriented characters who want to push a lot, so ogryn, arbs, hell even skitarii and vet.
But they fucked up; it should've been stamina regeneration, not cost reduction.

>20-25& would probably be reasonable plus curios+perks.
it would still be a lot, try running +3/+6 stamina as a zealot and the aura (and the sprint reduction+speed, and curio sprint stamina reduction). You can go so cancer far, you outrun most enemies easily. And this is in the game already, imagine +50% I know it's less because of the mult scaling, but sitll on top of that lol

>What would you make it do?

Give it a node that regens your toughness, and something that interacts with the stacks themselves, like damage reduction (IJ is bad partly because of that, Marty and BP both give DMG res and just flat out more damage/utility).

So that's the stats part, as per ulitity - suppresion resist? Something that interacts with aiming/recoil? Ammo reload/reload speed?
There's a lot of room there, the question is - what archetype, what utility is zealot lacking right now?
>>
>>580334128
>it should've been stamina regeneration,
Zealot's stamina aura? It reduces the stamina regen delay, which is one of the best stats when it comes to stamina management since it gives you a constant trickle of stam between actions that you would otherwise normally interrupt. The real reason nobody takes it is because Purity aura prevents corruption chip from fucking KILLING your squishies.
It's excellent in auric, where it only runs into the issue of being point taxed. I forget whether the skill right above it is even worth taking on most builds. I haven't bothered playing an actually auric-tailored zealot build in over a year, it's either just my havoc build, or a different class entirely because why the fuck would I humiliate myself playing zealot in auric unless I'm playing with a friend?

>The idea of a discount warhammer 40k co-op shooter sounds awesome on paper

>>
>>580334351

I know, and the baseline for Arbites/Scum/Vet (with the talent) is 0.5 seconds, which feels super fast in game; 0.15 on top of that is 30% and it brings it to the point where you barely have moments when you're NOT regenerating stamina, shit's bonkers

>Purity aura prevents corruption chip from fucking KILLING your squishies
Lowkey it should be a Zealot passive, it's the only reason people bring him nowadays and it's so fucking sad to see my boy suffer like that
The designated team gimp rip
> I forget whether the skill right above it is even worth taking on most builds
It's fucking excellent, unless you're running like 3/4 talents that already make you overflow on TN constantly, and/or are running some heavy slow weapon like evis or trannyhammer

>[Purity aura] is the only reason people bring him nowadays
It's one of several big reasons, not the only reason. 10% crit aura and chorus (DR) are both fucking excellent. Zealot melee either provides a nice horde clear buffer to buy space and kill bosses quite quickly even without meme abilities, and crusher buys as much space as most arbitrators try to cope over, with the only caveat that crushers don't get knocked over. You have chorus for that.
I've never bothered to count the ratio, but I don't even remember seeing a HK lobby that didn't have, or didn't want, a zealot.
>inb4 abloobloo HK is full of cheaters and crutch babbies that play easy shit because they're mindless meta-slaving drones that just want to WIN at ANY COST
Okay, and? That just proves that zealot is genuinely very strong. No need to conflate fun or interesting, with effective. The effective thing can be boring and unfun to play. Support zealot is that exact thing, to most people. I personally enjoy it a lot.

>[the DR talent] is fucking excellent,
Maybe I'll look into setting up a proper auric zealot build again. I do enjoy running the combat shotgun a lot, I just can't ever justify bringing it into havoc.
Stamina aura + move speed -> IJ with relic blade is pretty fun. "Ranged" zealot built around a flak/unarmored bolter to delete gunners in one shot is also quite entertaining. Maybe I should try the recon las on zealot again, too.

It's a slower, more unforgiving Darktide, I would recommend it to people who never played good co-op games but I wouldn't really recommend it to someone who already played a better version of it.

The cast (you're playing as one of the 5 premade classes, with 5 available specializations each) is way more soulful, but in VT2 they do feel more marvel-millenialcore than in the first one.
The maps are way prettier, and overall better designed.
The gameplay is alright, but Darktide is better by a country mile in that regard.
Gamemodes in VT2 are fun; you've got PvP which is loads of fun (but plagued by spergs), Chaos Wastes for a more roguelike feel (great mode), campaign ofc (which has actual structure and reason behind it) and that other mode that nobody fucking plays nor gives a shit about.

Buy it on a discount, it's sometimes given for free so be on the lookout, but don't expect too much

I doubt it. As much as I love SC2 coop mode, I don't think they are gonna do rts ever again. This is Blizzard, they love chasing for some form of Esport competitive scene. Even WoW has like world first, arena tournament and mythic dungeon international.
But I wont be suprised if they somehow use whatever is left from their cancelled crafting survival game either.

Basically all of your generalizations could be applied to just about any fantasy setting if you want to boil them down to their base parts like that. If you don’t like it that’s fine but it’s objectively one of the most unique fantasy settings out there. Even the protagonists, arguably the most generic part of the setting, stand out in the wider genre for the fact that their era is taken from the early modern period complete with gunpowder advancements rather than the usual Middle Ages knights and what have you.

Yeah, he's pretty based. He's the kind of guy who would say hell yeah if his helm had the Dopamine mod.
>His visor showed him target icons, though. A decent number. A moderate challenge to fill an afternoon. How many of them would be his? He considered, for a moment, resetting his tally counter. The number, a long one now, throbbed in the bottom left of his visor display. Most Astartes-pattern warplate had this function. Some called it a kill-counter. It had its uses, for making swift tactical assessments during a prosecution or an engagement. Khârn had never really bothered with it. His kind of warfare had little use for such fripperies. He’d just left it running, unmonitored.
>It had been running since the first day of his career. When the number started to get quite large, he had become fascinated by it. The counter held a fetishistic interest now, a simple reminder of his advancing, unmatched progress. He wasn’t superstitious like some legionaries, but it seemed unreasonable to reset it. He wanted, privately, to see how high it could get. Did it ever reach a number it couldn’t surpass? Roll back over to zero and start again? Did it have a limit?
>It might, but Khârn believed he didn’t. No, resetting it to zero would be unreasonable and he was still, just, a warrior capable of reason.

I don't like Vermintide nor do I have any strong feelings about anything Warhammer fantasy related, and I conceptually welcome Vermintide 3.
Unfortunately, knowing it's going to be developed by Fatshark, and most likely on UE5, that means the lazy fucking Sw*ggers will ruin performance by crutching on all the things that makes the engine perform like shit, AND being Fatshark, it'll take 3 years after release before the game is even in a playable state. By then I'll have lost interest lol.
Why is this genre so fucking cursed, man.

I play VT2 to get all chars to lv3 and at least get orange gear for few chars I like. I get how people praise for map design and learning curve of getting better. But for map design I have few disagreement, heavily biased because I'm a scrub and not much time spent, a bit over 60 hours. Seeing enemies can spawn out of thin air is jarring, yes yes old game janks. Pretty much all missions up to Skittlegate are solid. Then few missions after that start to get tedious to play imo like Verminous Dreams, A Treacherous Adventure and The Blight Reaper where going through sewers, one person must carry a torch.
Darktide with carrying batteries, capsules and even early Gloriana Clandestine section aren't that bad.

All your examples you pick are mainly from generic cheers. If you are intentionally "play slow", not tagging or using abilities to disrupt the banters, not moving to points of no returns like elevators, ledges and whatever triggers mission coms. You probably hear them more.

My beloved is just everything Seer says what they see (dreams) and inner thought to be. Female Seer is lonely and wants to be a painter, male Seer is more talkative so he frequent comes up conversation heard from other people or sometimes say he had old friend(s) and how old friend(s) die horribly.
Brawler is pretty easy, beside Rashuns meme, he always hungry and eats pretty much everything in many conversation. Even one of his cheer is "Better than breakfast". He likes to call heretics as snivellers.
Both Fanatic is alcoholic, female Fanatic is even drink buddy with female Authoritarian. While male Fanatic drinking habit gets doubt from female Professional and Exterminator. He denies female Fatalist on being arrested in the first place as he says the accusation is falsely charged.
Agitator hate Psyker the most, but then they even get mocked by Loner for faking gothic speech. Considering how plenty people play Savant psyker, it's easy to hear frequent "It's called skill Zealot" or kinda paraphrasing "Don't just stand there in awe, it makes you look like a dullard". All three zealot personalities have different generic callouts to other teammates as well, kindreds, sinners, pilgrims.

You take this on the far right, put unyielding on your plasma gun, and Gets Hot + Focused Cooling. Flensing and Last Stand Relay are obviously required to stack crit higher. Learn to tap rightclick between shots to reset the animation and get retarded fire rate.
That's all there's to it. Now you just make the rest of your build not shit. I won't spoonfeed you a whole build because that always spawns some retarded jeet that doesn't get adequately reported because you fuckers apparently like your threads to be brown, so good luck with that.
>>
>>580359219
Are you aware that venting heat eats stacks of flensing or do you just not find that it matters?
>>
>>580359863
I am aware, it's unfortunate, but not usually that noticeable. You should still take Flensing for the crit, even if it technically has anti-synergy. It's the best keystone anyway, including for the purpose of capacitance generation.

How to fix psyker:

>Turn the Voidstrike staff M2 attack into an exploding ball, 1500 base AOE damage, low ADM, remove double projectile on M2 crit
>Double the amount of enemies affected by the Electrokinetic staff, triple it on crit, lower the charge rate and peril generation
>Remove Purgatus staff infinite cleave and the brittleness blessing, increase Soulblaze dmg vs Unyielding
>Increase the Empowered Psionics max stacks to 7, consume a stack on using your M2 staff cast to increase the base effects of your attack
>Remove Telekine Shield HP, greatly nerf the duration of the bubble variant
>Rework the Shriek node that increases dmg taken by enemies - now it allows you to knock EVERY enemy variant on their asses, and staggers and pushes back bosses
>Remove Perilous Combustion from the game
>Rework the +% Damage vs Elites to Elites within 15 meters take +10% increased damage from Allies in Coherency

It was a titan of the early SEACOW days, but the disgustingly glacial pace of development killed literally 100% of the hype for even the most diehard reddit fanboys. It's been eclipsed several times over by other, superior games in the genre that managed to launch into EA and reach their full 1.0 release in the time it took the Valheim team to release a single EA biome addition update. You only get this link with your account name at the end of it, if you are logged into your fatshark forum account. I literally tested this with my own account, you need to click on the "copy a link to this post to clipboard" and after that you can test it by just ctrl+V-ing into the address bar on another tab. And it will show the account who copied that link at the end of it. It's what the u=X at the end of the URL means.
And Tanner has a Fatshark account, it even uses his own youtube profile picture. Tanner is also close friends with Mister E, so him linking his posts is not at all surprising.

Tanner 100% comes here all the time, he just vehemently denies it because most of his fanbase are redditors and twitter troons who hate 4chan.

I'm guessing here, but maybe it's a workflow thing? Say for example, they're running a different engine, and their in-house launcher/patcher isn't yet set up for that new engine, but Steam just handles that shit all on its own just fine. Maybe they're pushing multiple versions a week or even a day, and need to be able to sync those across multiple different computers or even offices, in a way that their inhouse software can't manage?

He even once did video where he accidentally called himself Tranner but then quickly deleted it.

If any of weapon model leak like hammers or power axes be true. Then it'll be likely these things.

You said it yourself, anon.

He is the exact caliber of retard who doesn't acknowledge that the internet does not forget. He would immediately try to delete the post as soon as he's able. You're either falling for a troll, or are trolling by pretending that you're falling for a troll. Not a very good one either, considering he didn't delete the post, which would've made it even funnier and more believable.
You must be forgetting where we are, if your first thought is "this must REALLY be Tranner", and not "this is some guy having a laugh at Tranner's expense" because it's almost certainly the latter.

I'm sure if we dig deep enough we'll find some obscure mention of Space Marines practicing a perfected martial art which includes karate.

Or he's intentionally leaving it up because he knows if he deletes it now after people pointed it out it just proves that he was here even harder. And proves the whole thread correct that he is just a 4channer sperg in denial.
Nevermind that the archives exist where people could just go look at his post regardless anyway.

You know what would be more on character for Tanner?
To do a complete fuck up a forum post link, not realize it, and then only notice it when after he posts it and people point it out.
And then to start to pretend and downplay that tanner isn't actual is here, and just deny it completely and insinuate that it is just a "low effort troll" who is masquerading as him. But like many people have pointed out, for what purpose would anyone want to pretend to be a fat, overweight, autistic sperg, femboy fagot on 4chan. Answer is, there is none.
It's very telling that you and only you, are acting like this and you're white knightingfor tanner for no real gain or even reason on an anonymous north korean basket weaving forum. How noble of you.
Merely a coincidence I say.
Just leave. We all know it's you.

Iirc Marines are stated to be trained extensively in hand to hand and know lots of fighting styles on top of learning new ones very quickly so karate is probably in there
