I did some sleuthing. The patch notes made it so that base trees are now harvested by pals, but the fucked up part is that they're given priority by pals, so they run way across my (1.8 range) base to chop down a single tree that spawned, force Mimog to go all the way there and transport it back, and all of this is given priority over the existing built nodes.I live in an area where the trees will now have to be replaced with decorative versions, but still have to track down their spawn points and block them physically.

The wing pack should work as the lowest quality glider when you're out of fuel. I ran out of fuel in a boss fight and it made the teleport to the top of the tower an automatic death because I couldn't get down without dying. Is there an easy way to finish the "Request from a Pal Critic" quests? Having to go back and forth to my base to add new ones to the team is awful

If it's the skills you want, then you can just breed the pals who learn them normally. Although immortality implants do seem to be a lot harder to come by, at least in my case...
