And then you walk around Hometown and proceed to hear many anecdotes about Asriel from others, and oh how funny, some of what we learn overlaps with what we saw Ralsei doing just now... (Ex. Singing enemies to sleep; was in choir and a good singer.) Just from a raw narrative perspective you are meant to be racking your brain for what the connection means, and it's apparent Ralsei is secretive as well as anomalous compared to other Darkners, so we're building to a climax related to What He Is and What Asriel Really Meant To Kris.
