eh, everyone is just standing near each other shooting at each other and mostly missing. It's the worst kind of low level rpg gameplay where nobody has attack bonuses so both sides are just rolling dice so it's slow and side objectives like stop zombies from attacking things is completely rng. The positives are that we've already had a save a person combat, save the pods from waves of zombies objective, and a couple decisions that will come up later (who to save).Voice acting is hit or miss. The Schwarzenegger companion is pretty funny and I like him, and the villain is fine, but some of the others are pretty basic. Given their indie budget this isn't a big deal and I don't really hold it against them.Overall it's ok so far. I actually like starfinder and have gotten to play it a bit over the years so I'll end up playing this, I think I even already preordered it on their website. It's good to support indie cpg, since the people who make them might end up working on bigger ones if they're encouraged by early indie success. The cycle of life.

Oh wow, things just became a lot easier realizing I can hack robots. Converting enemies is always OP in games, and one of my favorite things to do.Bluejay brings absolute carnage to robots with pretty high Computer Science, high Energy Weapons and a really high damage low AP blaster, and next Perk will for sure be Roboticist for an extra 20% against robots and synths.Weight and inventory management is pretty important, I regret selling off some non-metal armor even if it was a bit less effective. Energy weapons just rip through us. Something to think about in the future, but the margins for what we can carry are pretty small, I'm finding.Melvin's been using up rockets on those awful 20mm turrets, and robot crowds a couple times, so that gives us a little more room.

And you only learn about the truth towards the end. Honestly, the game is also really bad at selling the "good guys" path. Almost every good guy is annoying as fuck, illogical and boring. Iomadae herself was a gigantic disappointment in my opinion. The hand of the inheritor was okay until he learns the truth and then he spergs out. You would expect them to know a little bit more, but the good guys are always in the dark and the demons actually make good points and are the ones in control.
