If you are looking at your storage, you won't receive an invite. If you are looking at your skills, you won't receive and invite. Crafting or looking at the broker? Dressing room? Anything one would do to kill time between content? Cucked from invites. And the vet players will probably say something in chat like "you're busy" which new players have no context for but that is the error the invite sender gets when the invited is in a menu and can't receive it. So then the sender uses these words in chat to let you know you couldn't be sent an invite and of course you don't understand because new.
