I wasn't feeling it at first but trick dice won me over. Random enough to not worry too hard about winning or losing but enough decision making to not feel like a total crap shoot. And you can easily max out all achievements with 3 games a day+surrenders count as a played game.And it's fun to cheer for the opponent's good rolls and sob when they don't get the followup rolls.

Guin seems okay. No longer does she apply Freeze, in fact the only way she buffs allies' dmg is with her Y2. Her main role is to make the maintank more durable by reducing enemy dmg dealt (doesn't affect herself) and applying a whopping 60% AtkSpd debuff. Meanwhile her own dps isn't too bad, and she has an Artifact to make her Enhanced Attacks hit harder and drop a stunning penguin on a random enemy... it's a good Artifact but not a priority on her.
