Regarding mysteries we already roughly know the shape of Deltarune's answers anyways despite pretending otherwise. Carol and Kris have some plan involving the prophecy that ultimately betrays Susie, Ralsei and us, requires those 3 as pawns and advances Carol's need to preserve the past somehow, probably to get Dess back. Dr. Gaster created Deltarune out of another world and controls it like The Truman Show to keep a straight narrative, and will meet his demise by the game's end when he falls into his creation, or as Gerson puts it, the story swallowing up the author.

They're the most Occam's razor friendly deductions. Carol has been foreshadowed throughout the game, is repeatedly implied throughout chapter 4 to be up to something, implied to be the voice on the phone with Kris giving them instructions, and there is some connection between the holiday manor's basement and the shelter given they share a specific rumbly sound signature. Kris and the knight are shown to work together. Susie is shown to be kept in the dark on purpose in chapter 4 as Kris tries to keep her away from making progress on the shelter. Gaster is almost certainly the voice running the experiment that the game exists for. They're going to call chapter 6 shit no matter what. They were gonna call chapter 5 shit no matter what. They called 3+4 shit, probably called 2 shit. It's not really worth every thread getting flooded with arguments over whether or not Deltarune is actually worth playing.

Feels kind of obvious he's doing a pattern thing, 3 and 5 are more self contained and 4 and 6 are more lore-focused. A big part of Deltarune is Toby wanting to explore specific ideas and he tries to weave them into the narrative in a way that feels unsatisfying to some people. On their own Tenna and Flowery have really cool arcs but they bother people because both of them aren't setting up pieces of a puzzle as well as something like Dess or Carol or Noelle or FRIEND. Plus the agitation from waiting so long is getting to people and people are getting less and less patient with short form video eroding attention spans

deltarune's a little weird in that most characters only matter in the chapter they first appear in. then, if you bring them to castletown, they become goofy goobers that say silly things. it's not like i hate queen, tenna, any of them, it's just that they functionally stop being real characters when the spotlight is off of them. and they generally don't interest me enough to create endless headcanons about because what makes them interesting was tied into their place in the plot
