Genzine managed to use an exploit to get the game binary from the system memory of the switch 2 (if it's not XOM protected) so the post is not entirely right. Because in order to play a game, you need to have the game loaded into the RAM. But remember, the ROM for switch 2 is like 30 GB, but the switch 2 memory is only 12 GB. So you selectively load parts of the game binary into the memory to play it (eg models for the characters, battle stats etc) and you also have to load in the code to execute those functions. So my idea which I was arguing was that if people can get enough of the files out of the memory then you might have enough to write an emulator off (because obviously it needs to sit in the memory in order to be used by the Switch). So that'd some hopium at least (though I'm sure that the plot twist is that every other game is protected by XOM). The second hopium is that someone voltage glitches the comparator for dual core lockstep for a switch 2 hack.I do think it will be hacked eventually, but not within normal timeframes
