The thing that worries me most is the mega server/no realms, I feel like that really kills the social aspect of Classic. I am worried about how fast mobs die, I never seem to miss like I would have back in Classic while leveling. And I dislike changing all the classes for the sake of change, I get fixing broken specs, but these classes don't feel like the class did in Classic anymore.

Warrior to MS and kill the FC, mage for CC, peeling. Warlock for paranoia, nuking FC, hunter to defend higher up. Priest, paladin, shaman for support. Raid balance is not a hard problem to solve. PvE content (especially in classic) is so simplistic that you can balance it with a few number tweaks. Just the removal of world buffs makes a big difference. Weapon skill+ removal to nerf warriors more. Ignite tweaks for mages. Debuff cap removal to help with dots. Boss armor if you need to alter physical/magical dps gaps. Rogues fall behind? Tweak poisons to use physical hit. There are a million things you can do to affect raid balancing without affecting the balance in other aspects of the game. Of course this doesn't mean that every spec will be equally good. That shouldn't be the goal either.

They 100% intended things like paladins and druids being able to tank and stuff like agility and spirit being viable for all, both itemization and their design philosophy was a failure at the end because most specs were not viable at the end game activities like dungeons and raids, this was not intentional and it was not because they were too 'unique'. There's no way to add meaningful content in vanilla wow without massively changing how the balancing works because the balancing sucks and most specs would be excluded from it. Having every raid be 15+ warriors while you get maybe one of the other ones just for buffs/curses is laughable and their only uniqueness is in the fact that they suck. You think It's fun playing a warlock in raids where you're not allowed to use your abilities and the only spell you're using in all 3 specs is shadowbolt, you think that's something to be preserved because It's unique?

Paladins would require a complete revamp, but like I said, not everything can be fixed.

Do UI overhauls like Elvui still work with the addon purge shit? I really don't mind the default ui at all, but I really miss being able to track short duration buffs above my unitframes and I don't really see any way to replicate that in the regular UI settings.
