Played till about level 15 on Paladin. I have some mixed thoughts on things as there are a some things I really do like, but some stuff needs work.>You are way more powerful in the open world vs classic, long as you keep your gear decently in pace with your level. Too powerful even. Killing 2 mobs equal to your level at once after you leave the baby 1-5 section of the starter zone isn't that hard. You can even do 3 if you're careful or get a bit lucky. I just chainpull one mob after the other practically because HP/MP regen is nuts. >I need to drink MAYBE once every 4-5 pulls. Elites are weird because if you're 1-2 levels higher I can solo most of them, but there was one elite who kicked the absolute shit out of me without even going to half HP. He was a caster though, so probably part of that.>Professions actually feel meaningful and something you want to go out of the way to level early game. Chose Blacksmithing/Mining and the Blacksmithing gear was extremely good. However, this is part of the power creep as I made blue boots at level 10 with a little spell power on them. The better gear seems BoP, so maybe they think it'll be balanced by everyone not grinding the same profession on every toon. This could work or become hideously broken.>Camps are fun social stuff. People seem decently chatty. >The new quests are pretty well done and add some more variety and things to do. Leveling is quicker>Layering with group invites seems instant, but buggy. I am having so much fun fellow humans. Today I leveled up my Gnome Warlock to level 11 in Wordl of Warkraft made by Activision-Blizzard, a subsidiary company owned by Microsoft Incorporate. I have acquired the "Corruption" spell, which I can use to plant hyperprogressive tumor cells into my enemies their brains. I can also set them aflame with my Immolation spell or make them feel like scalding boiling water is flowing down their neck with the Curse of Agony spell. Humans are so creative and inspiring! I will soon unlock the Fear ability. This is so much fun! I will have to add the knowledge acquired from this game to my personal Metaverse so I can replicate all the happy moments. Live. Love. Paladins were given a new attack, many others have their old set. Spell damage scaling has made some things a lot weaker (go spam wrath as a druid and compare it to classic). Extra quests may also put you more ahead of the curve resulting in you killing mobs that are lower level than normal, making the experience easier. Level differences make a big difference after all, especially for melee. Not that 1.12 was slow or difficult either.

I played a warrior in vanilla and a 2nd mob was never a death sentence unless you were geared like shit in a higher level area. Neither of which seemed to be the case there.

Classic was not some ultra hard game but it was balanced enough that leveling had you having to be careful not to overpull and to pace yourself.What's happening in that video is literally why retail is dogshit, he's just pulling multiple monsters, non stop, no rest, no threat of dying.

Being able to charge in combat should alleviate that somewhat. A warrior should not have any trouble fighting two melee mobs while appropriately geared and with enough skill level in their chosen weapon.
