Maybe I'm negative or maybe I'm realistic, but I have my doubts that Forever will last for its intended lifespan. It seems like the whole point is that it's all about the journey and everything, which is great, but we all know us as WoW players tend to min max everything and take the path of least resistance to achieve goals. Then once the goals are achieved, it usually just turns into some form of raid logging until the next big piece of content drops.I guess my main point is while it's still super early, I haven't really seen anything that makes this feel like a very unique wow experience where the outcome will be different than all of the other classic iterations we've seen. The most eye opening experience about the youtube aliens for me, was I was watching a video on poverty in Vegas. And halfway through the video, the homeless people literally break out in like organized song and dance. Theyre all aliens dude, that would literally never happen. Literally never. It could be Azeroth hundreds of years into the future or an alternate timeline or whatever. Of course it is hard to trust nuBlizz with such a project but on a conceptual level I think it is interesting. I think it's the only way to get a truly "playing WoW for the first time" type of experience. If it took place in Azeroth it would be familiar on some level which I think would make for a pretty good hook.
