I'm about 20 hours in and honestly it's probably the one of the worst fire emblems. I hate the story and can't get into it. I want to write a longer review at some point but let me just say the 202 turn Leda chapter took me 7 HOURS and I’m just getting to the actual match. Anyone comparing this to the monastery is being dishonest. All of my favorite Fire Emblem games don’t abide the gameplay vs story dichotomy you see on this general (Tellius, engage, 3h, binding blade). This game doesn’t allow me to get into a flow state because my entire day might be spent running around the map. What’s conflicting is before Fire Emblem became my favorite series I was v into Square Enix type games. I’d probably like the over world in another game. I don’t think this is a bad game but I do think due to the overworld tedium it’s a bad Fire Emblem.
