You can’t really merch in wow classic due to the high auction house fee, the price of the item is typically bound to its vendor price. Thats why the sale price on the market doesn’t actually get higher 5 months after release. You’d expect everything would be worth more, but inflation actually takes a couple years. Maybe like 3 years later, the prices will experience a dramatic increase. Merching is still technically a way to make gold, you simply buy out all the cheapest items, and repost it for another cheap price. But slow merching is where the real money is, and that’s not a significant source of income in classic at least. On retail, slow merching works fine. The item WILL eventually sell. In classic, you’ll end up paying like almost all your profit for the same result, plus you’ve also wasted all that time with posting the auction. It’s just not a great way to make gold. Gold is made in classic by manual farming of items usually, this is worth much more than AH flipping.

I've leveled up in Mulgore more than any other place, Durotar is a distant second place, when i leveled my priest in TBCC, i made her undead, but i went to the painstaking effort to send her all the way to Mulgore to level, because i liked it more than the butt-ugly Tirisfal Glades zone.
