I’ll admit, consecration for prot paladin is a very fun spell. It’s probably one of my favorite spells. But, I don’t think it’s very good game design. That’s too easy to just press the button and now you don’t have to do anything much. Classic basically balanced it around forcing paladins to be prot if they wanted to tank, and prot was a shit leveling spec. So you’d just not usually worry about consecration being overpowered. They also had less damage mitigation and single target threat generation than warriors at max level, so prot pal just wasn’t much of a problem. If prot pal actually gets buffed too far it’ll totally destroy forever. Dungeons aren’t meant to be huge aoe things like they turned retail into. It’s a fun gimmick but I think most people are burned out of that way to play the game. Slower cc focused pulls and also threat generators being a core element were simple and intuitive and always felt like an mmo game.

For dungeons like BFD and Sunken Temple which already have a SoD reimagining, just add them to the game, all with level 60 characters in mind.Doing things this way gives us the best of all worlds. We get the old dungeons as they were for leveling then we get new and unsolved dungeons which they can add more complexity and nuance to with the SoD style level 60 reimagining of them.Win/win.

Making burst phases on bosses is also still too complicated from a raid leading perspective, you just can’t get a group of retards doing burst phases it’s too much talking and planning.
