There’s lots of debate between going ice shards or frostbite at lvl 15. Basically they do the same thing except ice shards is more mana efficient. The result is you get an extra frostbolt. Iceshards is also better because your wand attack at lvl 15-20 range is like almost as high as frostbolt. And there’s no pushback so the benefit of frostbite is even less. So the real debate is actually frostbite or piercing ice or getting the remaining 2 points in improved frostbolt. 6% frost damage is about half as good as ice shards, so now it’s more like we’re getting half a frostbolt, compared to a full cast. And, it also doesn’t affect wand dps like ice shards would. It’s also less spikey dps which is worse overall for the playstyle of mana conserve + hp/mp dump phase without rng. Theyre all very closely balanced i mean, imp frost bolt is technically the worst choice, as it’s only giving you 25% of an extra frostbolt. Obviously you’ll need frostbite for lvl 25 regardless because once you get shatter frostbite is now officially the best choice. So yeah the debate is just when. There is a correct answer, and it’s that you get it after ice shards and before piercing ice.

female undead has the best cheap shot animation. Male undead had the best poison/other proc animations because it’s designed to be primarily a caster. Orc male has the best kidney shot animation. Troll isn’t really a contender for best animation in the dual wield rogue category. Male dwarf has the best looking eviscerate animation. Human female has the best everything else, mainly the best auto attack swing animation for dual wield. Gnome isn’t very good at dual weilding, its arms are too small and looks too unrealistic. Human male is alright but if you’re dual wielding you’d really rather be female. Human male is mainly for warrior because it has the best designed plate models.

PSA: do not fall out of bounds, there is no character unstuck system in beta so i stupidly jumped underneath stormwind as a gnome, and instead of hearthing back up and wasting CD i decided to jump back out of the front under the bridge. twice i've done this before, walking out of the sewer grates into the moat, and then up the ramp to stormwind gates... but this third time i accidentally jumped through the terrain getting up to the ledge on the other side of the sewers. my character started falling and i was immediatly disconnected. any time i try to log back into that lvl 19 character i just get logged back out instantly to character select. there's no way to unstuck a beta character and sadly no human beings work for blizzard that you can interact with. which means my character is gone. i'm fine with that and already level 12 on a new character but i wanted to share my story for those of you who may find yourselves out of bounds while exploring. the risk is real

We used to randomly hang out in Hillsbrad Foothills, dueling and talking trash in Ventrilo. Whenever random Alliance players tried jumping them, we'd literally step back and let the Horde wipe them out—and they returned the favor whenever random Horde jumped us. In an era where cross-faction communication was strictly blocked, having that kind of community vibe was special. I really miss those days.The second story happened during The Burning Crusade. A few real-life friends and I were running the 5-man Ring of Blood questline in Nagrand. Our comp was a Warrior, Paladin, Mage, Warlock, and me on a Night Elf Hunter (which becomes important).Right on the final boss, a Horde group ambushed and wiped us. So, we waited for them to pull, resurrected right behind them, and wiped them back. Then they did the exact same thing to us. What started as a simple grief back-and-forth escalated into a full-blown war zone as passing players from both factions started piling in. It went on for hours.For the final standoff, I took advantage of being a Night Elf: I ran in as a ghost, resurrected inside an adjacent building, immediately popped Shadowmeld, and used Track Humanoids to call out every Horde position. Because we took so long to run back, they let their guard down thinking we had quit. On my count, the rest of my group resurrected at once, caught them completely flat-footed, and wiped them out. They never managed to retake the area.I don't think a single person actually finished the quest that night, but it was hands-down some of the most fun I've ever had in a game. What I wouldn't give to go back and experience those days again.
