I think the 3 melee I like are distinct enough to where I wouldn't say any of them play the same at all. I wouldn't say Samurai, Monk, or Ninja play similarly in any sort of way, except the idea of "put your big nukes under raid buffs" which has been a problem with this game for awhile.
