perfectionism really is the root of all evil, I haven't even build my vulcanus base yet after I ripped everything out, at this rate I'll never get to gleba or aquilo
I haven't been able to pass this mission yet. I've gotten pretty good yields, but I haven't been able to get the secondary lithium deuteride to set off, ever, and I have no idea why. The DT ice just doesn't have enough density to get more than 350 kT in fusion alone. The lithium deuteride works just fine when used in the primary's core, and helps a lot, but no matter what I do – carve a channel direct, use plutonium for the sparkplug, carve the left side of the secondary out as the sparkplug, etc. – it just won't turn the lithium deuteride into fusable deuterium. This specific bomb gets up to 480 total kT, 300 fusion kT. It's nowhere near enough. I should adjust the shaped charge shape since it's a big fucky wucky but it shouldn't matter that much, it's setting off its core fusion charge and everything just fine. It's a bomb that's even a fair bit larger than the recommended 320x200, it just won't fuse the lithium deuteride.
>>582195663What's even funnier is that he did it instantly at 750 posts just to change the OP to whatever this isBro really was scrambling to get it
nigga who caresliterally who cares outside of some schizosI just want a thread to post my factorio runs inquit being a fucking autist
>>582196865I also like how changing nothing about the primary, but slightly modifying the secondary causes the primary to mysteriously fizzle.
Is there a way to see which requester chest is stealing my legendary chips? I cant see anything with a swarm of bots flying
have a thread not made by a spastic>>582206626
>>582204791There has to at least be a mod for it.
>>582209559I found it, just manually checked every blue chest on the minimap, which wasnt that hard since there were only few dozen of them
>>582209843That won't work on the average mid-game pY base.
Turns out you can kinda just slap more DT ice around normal bomb and it just works.
The secret to more even compression really is just adding more and more petals to the star. Give it 16, fuck it. 6 isn't enough.
>>582209559factory search is the main one i use for thatwhich reminds me that i don't actually have it installed on my current game. i should fix that
Do I really need to setup stack inserters with circuit filters to have a stacked trash belt? Whats the point of recyclers stacking items by themselves then?
>>582209013>not made by a spasticonly a spastic would need a second thread
>>582225657ok, thats pretty cool

>>582244079Ok turns out this game is slop of the highest order. I was wondering why the log said something about webgl, it's literally some kind of electron app and people are reporting crashes using it with proton.Really sad, it's such a unique game.
how do uber drivers even make moneyi drive like an hour a day and it costs way too much money in my shitbox....
good morning /egg/
Got the game to run, and the nuke to boost
>>582250480Maybe I was a bit harsh with calling it slop, now that it works it's really fun, might have been sour grapesI wonder how high I can get with the yield in the same size
Fuck yeah, I was able to ignite the inner and outer lithium deuteride almost at the same time, leading to the fissile material being trapped inside that ring and releasing tons of additional energy<15kg of plutonium doing this
Got it down to 7.5kg while increasing yield, had to use an external neutron source to start it reliably, as the other one would go off too early.
Trains will save this thread. This game really is just a surrogate while I wait for Transport Fever 3

Is there a way to use this to set requests at the same time that the platform sends a signal of its content (ammo count)? It puts its entire inventory as requests and then proceeds to duplicate endlessly its regular non circuit requests
>>582356680Ok I figured it out, I just need to use a different colored cable for that ammo inserter and set it to only read the other one

>>582381994I really like builds that do raw material -> integrated rocket silo for export, it feels so right compared to that distributed shit
>>582409613I wish the silo logic still wasn't scuffed even in 2.1 that you can't really easily do multi-input rocket silos, it's especially annoying with quality and can get stuck all the time unless you do platform conditions right
>>582409690Yeah, as if kovarik would die from an aneurysm if they'd add a circuit signal to launch rocket feature. I don't get that guy sometimes.
How much kt fusion yield should an implosion fusion boosted nuke aim for? I am always getting <.05 and I'm not sure if a bit more would be worth adding more DT gas or if there's no point
>>5824119161-10ish kt is probably the most you should expect, the rest of the boosting goes into fission yields anyway
>>582414804So my fusion has been marginal at best? Can you post a screenshot of one of yours, I seem to be doing something very wrong in regards to fusion
>>582416783this is 73kt total 20kt fusion, and it's mostly fusion, but if I use the exact same design replacing the DiT with air and the timer with an urchin, it becomes an 0.97kT total yield. it could be better with better timing, but that's the point of the boosting, that the fusion massively improves the fission yield far more than its own. DT gas works, but DiT works even better.
>>582417598That's funny, I'm working on basically the same nuke, just smallerHow much compression and k are you getting at peak shockwave? How heavy is your pit?
Holy shit, from <4kT to this using the ice instead of gas, that stuff is greatI wonder how to make the gas work better, it takes up so much volume using more of it
>>582418052the compression is deceptive because it only tracks fission material, not fusion, which is what actually matters. the ideal time to detonate is always past peak compression, when the DT is about to be ignited. the criticality can also be deceptive, because the DT in the middle acts as a moderator and can increase criticality far more than it should.both LiD and DT ice are much more dense than DT gas so it only makes sense they're better, and LiD is the densest but it needs to be bred to be effective, and the primary-secondary design is currently bugged so there's no real point doing the X-ray reflection bullshit.
>>582418573What's the bug with the xrays? Also I got LiD to work along with some gas, but I think the gas is unnecessary, I will report back.
>>582418710I don't know, but there's a beta branch that apparently fixes it. the hohlraum design works fine with DT ice, but it doesn't work at all with LiD. LiD works just fine when used as a core or even fully surrounding a sufficiently powerful primary, which is how I finished the tsar bomba mission.
Might explain why LiD is so fucky at times. One design it all disintegrated into tritium instantly, next design it does nothing. Really weird.
>>582418573You were right about compressing the fusion material, I'm getting insane yields out of tiny pitsI wish there was some part of the UI that said how much mass conversion efficiency you're reaching with it, I think I'm close to burning all the plutonium
I severely underestimated just how thicc the beryllium should be
>>582423490the more the better, and the carbide is really important for inertia
