Even Arknights players themselves, CN included have always joked about Arknights way overdoing it on the word count. The irony is that a ton of the dialogue is completely vapid and meaningLESS and could've benefitted from a bit more thorough editing. Arknights stories having novels worth of "build up" word slop doesn't necessarily mean its stories/characters are much more meaningful. What it DOES mean is that the VN format allows lowlight and co. to brute force "meaning" into the story by sheer word count, so there's substantive stuff buried in the mess. lowlight himself is on record in pre-release interviews noting that one of the greatest challenges going into Endfield was struggling to figure out how to story tell without word count as a crutch. Information density had to be managed and packed elsewhere other than in novel length dialogue scripts. You can absolutely see their old habits dying hard in Valley 4, with how boring and drawn out some of the dialogue is. But they've been exponentially getting better at visual storytelling throughout Wuling.

That in itself already solved her "survivor's guilt". The perspective shift made her start to consider what comes after the mission, which most people around her did, but she ignored for the longest time. That it's in living her best life that makes good on all the people that passed away to save her, hence "carrying their hope". She finally "stops to smell the roses" in her life, that was the main change and takeaway. This isn't even a deep or complex and difficult to understand story.

Even better if it's combined to a weather system. It makes roaming around more meaningful and less monotonous.
