One of the most difficult concepts to explain to a non-VR user is 6 dof tracking. They seem to always think the headset just directly outputs the monitor's image into your field of view, the headset tracking is 2D polar coordinates like using a mouse, and the controllers are just pointing devices like the Wii. I think it's because they've become so used to 2dof flat games being "3D", that the concept of an actual 3D space instead of a spherical canvas around the camera is too far a leap. Even after looking at videos of VR gameplay in 2016 myself, I somehow didn't quite understand what was happening before actually owning a headset.

already experimenting with frame controller mods. The trigger is fuked up imo. really hard to get those sweet sweet double or tripple taps in VRFPS. So I designed a hardstop and double side taped it to the trigger. Makes it feel like a quest trigger now, still not the best, the placement is all funny but feels better at least. I tried taping the grip bumper over(not like in pic rel) so that I could make the grip use the cap sensors instead to make it feel closer to an index. I was able to get that to work at the cost of finger tracking. The grip bumper is used when auto calibrating the cap sensor(full grab then full release). The tape blocks any cap sensor calibration from happening. Maybe ill try that if i can get access to the firmware...
