So I build him purely as a critting machine and avoid tank.Both Answerer and Killing Edge increase crit with the combat arts.Deadly Blade, attached in Killing Edge is very cheap to replace though. Killing edge has 40 durability and it only costs 2 durability to use. And it's like blacksteel and a tiny amount of gold or some shit to repair which is everywhere in dungeons. So Answerer is way harder to repair because it requires cullet which is a rarer material. So I use Killing Edge as the primary weapon on Dietrich and only switch when I need a lower weight Answerer to increase my attack speed Then I stack all the class abilities that increase avo(id) and increase crit and crit damage. You'll also notice that Kalla gives a bunch of insane blessings -> avoid at level 1 (really useful for Dietrich to dodge tank on the hardest enemies). level 2 is +5 speed, for double attacking you need 4 extra speed and she gives mov as well which is just insane. Equipment by and large is not worth it in this game other than Gale ring and Giant ring. Gale ring gives +1 speed overall and giant ring gives +4 build which is basically +4 speed. Now why those other swords? Because I want super effective damage against cav and armour. Also the bow is super effective damage against beasts and lets dietrich tank and kill 2 range enemies.

But the maps are boring.Fates: The premise was great, but the execution was so amazingly retarded (eg gooron) that it retroactively fucked up the whole plot. Best writing was in Heirs of Fate. CQ has some of the best gameplayEngage: Had some great moments (eg in the Elusia arc) but I am not a fan of the rest of it. I liked the gameplay.Awakening: The plot is alright. The characters are alright, I like Gangrel, Emm and some others. There some highly memorable moments like the 'you deserved more from me than one sword and a world of troubles'. I liked the overworld and the gameplay. Shadows of Valentia: I don't remember much but the plot didn't have any obvious issues. The music was a banger, but the gameplay I remember finding easy/disappointing. The most interesting part about this is the lore around Grima and Forneus in the Thabes Labyrinth. Radiant Dawn and PoR: The writing is great, up until the moment that the blood pact plot is introduced. Still probably the highlight in terms of character writing and plot for fire emblem and the gameplay gimmicks with the army switching in RD is good.
