Golems are mechanically a joke but they do a lot of damage on Obliterate and they can give you heavy downtime patterns where you constantly keep having to go out which is annoying if you're not doing Quelling Wave spam. Treant on the other hand is a meme, but under 1st degree I think the only way to deal with the biloko is to bring an interrupt or to throw items at him to burst him the fuck down. Ideally you want some poison resistance, even if you have to sac an item to use it the hp bonus from surviving all the magic damage being poured on you will probably offset it.
