The actual old TERA just feels like a better a game than what it eventually became. Not having a level cap scroll is also my preference. Campfires and charms are great. Each of the 3 apex servers worth considering have their upsides and downsides. Pick your poison.Starscape (California) is pretty much a snapshot of retail apex Tera, for better or worse. Vanilla gearing, vanilla grind, vanilla char customization, vanilla outfits, vanilla dungeons and vanilla class balance. Devs haven't done much beyond barely maintaining it all these years and that probably won't change. Population is extremely small, but it does have quite a lot of choice when it comes to dungeons available if you can find a party for it.Arborea (France), meanwhile, is heavily customized, from gearing to dungeons. It has a good amount of char customization options on creation including all the new hairstyles. Custom outfits are freely available with ingame currency. Classes received plenty of QoL and balance improvements over retail's but the gameplay is noticeably faster than the other apex servers, while dungeons added new mechanics and some were even completely OC. Population is extremely small. The server hasn't received a real patch in months but the dev gives signs of life occasionally. They might cook something up now that C+ is dead but no real guarantee as of now.Asura (Russia, exitlag) is probably a middle ground between vanilla and custom content. New hairstyles and costumes exist but they're cash shop, tradable on AH. Classes are actively balanced, though not as custom as Arborea's; devs seem active and it appears they're going to release a new patch soon. It's also the only server with an actual population, 250 online as of the time of this post. The main issue with it is half of that population is russian, and the other half is turbocliqued apex vets that probably won't run with (You). But then again, perhaps the C+ exodus will change its demographics significantly; I'd imagine Asura will attract the most refugees due to its already sizeable population. So you cant run dungeons in OSTO because the population is non existent... Leveling isnt disgracefully slow but it isnt fast either, it will be just a lot of questing or grinding hundreds of mobs for hours...
